Webelievethatwhencitizenjournalistscancometogether,acommonvoicewillemergeonethatwillbedifficulttoignore.NewsParticipationaimstobetheunitedvoicewithwhichindividualscanspeakand,together,beheardloudandclear.

Themediathesedaysiscontrolledbyspecialinterestsandthenewsitbringstothepeopleareabout90%doctoredandpreparedtorepresentorprotecttheint

erestsofthesespecialinterests.Thesespecialinterestscouldbebusinesses,politicians,religionsetcandwhenthenewswegetaredoctoredtorepresenttheseinterests,thecitizensareleftconfusedanduneducatedaboutwhatgoeson.

Beforenow,thecitizenshavenomeansoftellingtheirownstoriesevenwhentheyknowthatthestoriestheygetinthemediaarefalse.Theyareforcedtodiscussinfrustrationamongthesmallgroupstheycanformwhichcannotmakeanydifference.Thissituationmakesmisinformationofthepopulacepossiblebecausewhentheonlyinformationthepeoplegetiswronginformation,atsomepointthey'llstarttobelieveit.
