Upholstery PartyWe have been so fortunate this year to have gorgeous new flooring installed in our building, thanks to the generosity of the Edna Hopfer estate and the Cobbs. Our next project, funded by two memorial gifts from Mary Ann Bishops’ family and Edna Hopfer and the Cobbs, is to re-cover our sanctuary chairs (all 201 of them!), so we need YOUR help! On Saturday, July 19 at 8am, we will be having an upholstery party to get the job done...all hands are welcome and no experience is necessary! Please come join us for this day of work and fellowship...we'll order some pizzas and throw a movie or two up on the projector, all while making our sanctuary a more beautiful place to worship! We hope to see you on the 19th!

Off To CampHudson and Carson are headed out to JYF church camp in Athens, Texas next week, and we KNOW they sure would love to hear from their church family while they are away!  If you’d like to send them a letter or card, you can send it at any time (even now!), and they’ll keep it for them until they get there.  Thank you for supporting our kids as they head off on this wonderful adventure!

VBS- July 27-31 Don’t forget to invite everyone you know, ages 5-11, to VBS Sunday evening July 27-31 from 5:30-7:30pm. You know they won’t want to miss the fun!

FCC Vacation PicsSo are you getting ready for that big summer vacation?  Maybe it’s a dream cruise around the Mediterranean or perhaps just an obligatory weekend trip to Spokane to check in on Aunt Eunice.  Well, if you’re leaving the confines of the DFW metroplex, we want to see a photo!  Just snap a pic on your camera or phone and send it in to the church office at fcc.lvtx@verizon.net or text it to Mandy at 972-365-7331, and we’ll post it on Facebook for our members and friends to see and enjoy!  This is a great way for our church family keep up with each other’s adventures, plus it will let our Facebook visitors know that we are an active and vibrant community of believers!  So snap away and share…we look forward to seeing what you’ve been up to!

CCA Need Your Help with ‘Kid Food’!

With summer around the corner CCA needs more ‘kid friendly foods’. Some examples are:

Peanut better, Macaroni & Cheese-individual serving or box, Tuna or Hamburger Helper, Canned Tuna, Beanie Weenies, Canned Ravioli , Mayo, Mustard, Relish, Catsup

Box Tops We are collecting box tops from packaged foods for Lakeland Elementary. They are able to get school supplies for their students with them. There is a zip locked bag on the bulletin board for them.
