Town Board Matters

The Town Board is once again continuing efforts to encourage our local Oak Creek and South Routt economy by supporting local events such as the upcoming Oak Creek Holly Festival on Saturday, December 13th, coordinating with the South Routt Economic Development Council (SREDC) and the Town of Yampa.

The “Shop Local this Holiday in your South Routt Neighborhood” provides an opportunity to win a Colorado “staycation” and other wonderful prizes. Shop our local South Routt businesses this holiday season, save your receipts totaling $100 and the registration card available at these same businesses, and drop them at the Oak Creek or

Yampa Town Halls or Flat Tops Ranch Supply in Phippsburg. The prize drawing will be held at the Oak Creek Town Hall on December 30th at Noon. There are additional prizes that will also be announced at the drawing! While there’s no need to be present to win, it will be a great time to visit with our friends and neighbors.

The upcoming Town Board meeting on December 11th will be a busy one. In addition to adopting the 2015 Budget and the associated appropriations resolutions, the Board will be considering two land use applications, the rate for fee-in-lieu of parking, and a grant agreement for completion of an electric system mater plan. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and we urge you to attend.
