PRESIDENTS REPORT

The pleasant job of phoning a committee member who once more had done her usual good job at the gig to say “THANKS” was responded with a flow of gratitude, that made me remember how all of us like to be thanked now & then. So as president its time I Thanked you all. Starting with Condong Bowling Club. Firstly their committee who have kindly let the Jazz Club have space & time in their Club for our Gigs THANK YOU. For their staff who make our Gigs easy to run THANK YOU. Now for our own Jazz Club committee Who give their time & energy to make sure we have Gigs to be advertised & set up THANK YOU. To all the performers who give us their talent & time to make sure the Gigs are a night to remember THANK YOU. And a special thanks to the musos who have been with us from the begin-ning of the Club a BIG THANK YOU for sharing your private pleasure Thanks very much. To our sponsors, whose generosity has made it possible to give our music to the young in our town a very big Thank You. Couldn’t have done it without you THANK YOU. To our members who with their guests, have filled our audience, if they didn’t there’d be no point to the Club. Thanks so much for the joy of my job THANK YOU. Let’s hope we all will continue with the Jazz Club until the young we have introduced to our favourite Music form are ready to carry on For which we all give them the biggest THANK YOU.

THE MURWILLUMBAHBARIANS…..have been playing for over ten years at festivals, conventions and venues, both locally and across Australia. Although the line up changes from time to time, the band play trad jazz with passion and enthusi-asm. The band features Bob Fawaz on trumpet, Peter McHutchison on reeds, Harley Axford on trom-bone and vocals, Col Hobson on banjo, Mike Murray on bass and vocals, Ian McKay on drums and vocals and Tab Paenga on sax and trombone. They are always entertaining, good fun and guaran-teed to keep your toes tapping and a smile on your face!!

to be held in Boardroom Condong Bowling Club, McLeod Street, Thursday 9th October 2014 commencing at 6.30pm.

ORDER OF BUSINESS

A. To confirm the Minutes of the 17th AGM and deal with any business arising therefrom.

B. To receive from the Committee reports as to the activities of the Association during the preceding financial year.

C. To receive & consider the statement required to be submitted to members under Part 5, clauses 47 & 48 of the Act (Associations Incorporation Act 2009) re Financial Statements.

D. To elect office bearers of the Association and ordinary members of Committee.

E. Any Notice of Motion or matter of General Business submitted by members.
