    Members,

    The season has changed, and that means we will all be doing more creating thanever! The cool days and early darkness seems to be an inspiration to get back tothose unfinished projects.

    I hope you have all started on your challenge quilts. When picking the challenge, theBoard wanted to give you something that would have you thinking and learning as youcreated. I found it very interesting to match one of my colors, and learn that it was notin the original family/tone I thought! It was much fun wandering around Mary Jo's withmy paint chip as I reviewed colors, tones, shades (trying to remember Belinda's won-derful lesson on color!) I am looking forward to seeing all of your creations nextmonth!

    UPDATE December 8, 2014

    The hristmas Presence

    The Christmas Committee met again and is excited about the plans for ourDecember 8 th guild meeting. Our theme will be The Christmas Presence. Theparty will start at 6:00 (or come when you can).

    The Committee asks that members bring a $10.00 quiltingrelated item, gift wrapped, to our December meet-ing. Members are also asked to bring food as follows:

    Last name: A-L: a side dish;M-R: fruits and salads;S-Z: desserts and cookies.

    The Committee will be providing the bread, drinks andmeats consisting of ham, turkey and chicken tenders.

    DISCUSSION: Regarding by-laws, guild governance, and scholarships. Motion was made to prepare asnapshot of our budget and how spent during the year. Belinda Leach and Kathy Solomon to prepare.Also discussion regarding reviewing the financial records as a matter of good business. By-laws to besent to all members.

    REMINDERS: Dont forget your fat quarter with name, block of the month, and your name tag.

    BLANKETS & PILLOW CASES

    Rachel Wessells is collecting anyextra 6 1/2 squares you might

    have. Please bring them to Rachel at a meeting

    and she will try and make extra blanket tops. Also,in September we collected 26 pillow cases, bring-ing our total to 66 pillow cases for the RonaldMcDonald House. Great job everyone!
