The Natural Life Zaragoza (LIFE12 ENV / ES / 000567) is devoted to the creation, management and promotion of green infrastructure Zaragoza.

Welcome presentation was given by the Minister of Culture, Education and Environment of the City of Zaragoza, D. Jerónimo Blasco. Then Paul D. Mu-ñoz intervened San Pio, Councilman United Left Aragon, and Mir Ms Leticia Crespo, Councilman Aragonese.

The technical presentation of the projects was provided by D. Javier Celma Celma, Director of the Agency for Environment and Sustainability of the City of Zaragoza, who referred to the structure, timing, objectives and main char-acteristics of the projects and Natural Life Zaragoza Life Km0 Huertas, and importance has granted to the City of Zaragoza.

The catalog of the actions in the coming months will Zaragoza shaping the Natural Life was given by D. Luis Manso de Zúñiga González, Head of the Conservation of the Natural Environment Agency Environment and Sustain-ability, who made a summary of the first activities to take place in the project schedule Zaragoza Natural Life.

At the end of the session there was a tasting of closeness and organic garden products.

On May 29, 2014 took place at the Center Stories Zaragoza the presenta-tion Zaragoza Natural Life Project, the European Union has awarded the City of Zaragoza.

Biodiversity Conference in Madrid The director of the Agency for Environment and Sustainability of the City of Zaragoza, Javier Celma, participated last June at the conference ‘Biodi-versity, key conservation and development’, held in Madrid, organized by the Network of Gov-ernments Commercial + Biodiversity FEMP and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

The aim of the -celebradas days between 16 and 17 June in the Fine Arts in the capital was to promote strategies, programs and projects to assist the con-servation and enhancement of diversity in urban environments. Javier Celma analyzed by a Centener councilors and technical challenges faced by local bodies for the conservation and expansion of bio-diversity. In this context, the director of the Envi-ronmental Agency of the City of Zaragoza presented draft Natural Life and Life Huertas Km0 Zaragoza, which is developing the City of Zaragoza.

Framed in the acts of the Week Culture Madalena and campaign ‘Live the Bruil park’, last June 17 different groups and neighbor-hood associations held a roundtable attended by the Director of the Environment Agency, Javier Celma, and Ramiro Pardo, Head of Parks and Gardens. The presence of both municipal of-

ficials allowed residents to voice their concerns and proposals, in addition to presenting the results of a survey of residents of the area, whose results will be taken into account when writing the final draft.

In addition, a leaflet was issued to bring the public the characteristics, objectives and plans of the project Life Natural Zaragoza, as well as the actions undertaken to imple-ment it. The project was awarded on Sep-tember 2, 2013, a year ago, and ends on 31 December 2016 triptych especififca re-sults also aiming to get the project at that time and how to achieve them.

Zaragoza Natural Photo Contest

The Agency for Environment and Sustainability of the City of Zaragoza prepares, in collaboration with the Environ-mental Center Ebro, a photo contest on Zaragoza and its natural environment, open to amateurs and profession-als. The urban nature of the city, the wilderness of rural perimeter of Zaragoza, fauna, flora, landscapes ... all the uniqueness and diversity of the natural environment of the city, including a contest in Zaragoza Natural Life project. It aims to contribute to the discovery and dissemination of special environmental values of the city and its natural essence.

We have already released the new 2014-15 Environmental Education Program for schools, which aims to raise the educational community in the environment and facilitate the approach and best practices for children and young students in the natural urban environment.

The new program includes up to six activities falling un-der the Natural Life Zaragoza project. They are:

• Repopulation of municipal forests.

• The rivers in the city: from home give life to the rivers.

• An encounter with galacho Juslibol.

• The galacho Juslibol: a mosaic of landscapes.

• The uniqueness of galacho Juslibol: galacho the last one formed by the Ebro.

• Walking along the banks of Huerva in Zaragoza.
