4th Steering committee & 2nd meeting of the Scientific committee
The 4th Steering committee held on March the 10th in Turin (Italy). Hosted by the Re-gional council of Piedmont, partners exchanged on the progress of the 4 Work pack-ages, as well as on the next steps. The work of the Sci-entific committee was also presented. A dozen local stakeholders for the Italian expansion took part in the meeting. A visit of Pinerolo has then highlighted the richness of the equestrian heritage of the city and es-tablished contact for future partnerships between Euro-pean museums. The 2nd meeting of the Scientific committee took place on May the 12th in Boulogne (France). Presentation of the research of the three commissions and the application form to the label "European cultural route" were at the agenda.
NEWSLETTER N°4 / JUNE 2017
School of Young European Musketeers
Experimentation of the programme 'School of Young European Musketeers' in partnership with a class of 8-10-years-old pupils of Auria DIRAT in Lectoure (France) continues. Lessons in class on the theme of d'Artagnan were followed by an internship in Con-dom from April the 24th to the 28th 2017, during
which pupils themselves are introduced to fencing with the master-at-arms Joel St. MEZARD, but also to horse riding at the equestrian center L’Etrier condomois. This experience was covered by a team of videomakers, to release as an educational tool through the Réseau Canopé, reference for teachers in France, and then to be
spread in others countries.
EDITORIAL
What a long way we have come since the early days of the project of "Route d'Artagnan" at the end of 2013!
National equestrian fed-erations and their commit-tees, regional authorities, cultural and sports asso-ciations, SMEs... contrib-uted to the implementation of this initiative, world pre-miere.
To few months of the end of Europe's support, the efforts must been in-creased to make of the European Route d’Artag-nan a tourism, equestrian and cultural quality prod-uct.
We are counting on all of you and hope you to come in numbers for the official opening of the European Route d'Artagnan in Chan-tilly!
