March 8-12 Dear Parents: Having a great long weekend?! I hope so! It was really great seeing you all at the conferences last week. Thank you so much for your appreciated presence and the pleasant discussions and feedback. Mr s.Rosie and Mrs. Cilia’s KG1 explorers! Library day: Thursday, March 12th Field trip to: Wednesday March 11th Math Inquiry: This week we will be reviewing shapes and doing multiple “shapes’ “ activities. We will focus on counting till 30 and will introduce counting by 10s. Star of the week! Yousef Al Khuraibet Literacy Inquiry: We are going to be practicing with the formation of letter “S”. We will decorate letter “S” with squares. We will read some sesame stre et fun books, the book of shapes and lots of entertaining activities. Our new sight words are “went” and “this”. Unit of Inquiry: Central idea: Exploring leads to discovery. In this unit we will be discussing that exploring with our 5 senses leads to discovering the world around us. This week the kids will continue the rotations in 2 more kg1 classes to experience different 5 senses activities. Home Connection: Keep on discussing with the children the benefits of our 5 senses and how they can help us explore the world. Please review the letter sounds with them and let them hear the Jolly phonics song on youtube! Important dates: Wednesday March 11 th : trip to the Kuwait aquarium. Thursday March 12 th : Show and tell letter “S”. Monday March 23 rd : Math night (more info to follow)
