Date Party at the Griffins Game

Although the Grand Rapids Griffins lost to the Charlotte on October 26, that didn’t stop the members from having a blast. Especially the freshman, who have never experience a Kappa date party before, and the seniors who lived up their last date party at MSU.

Kappas, along with their dates, sat at the edge of their front-row seats while witnessing Charlotte’s Chris Terry’s shot that deflected past goalie Tom McCollum with only 10 minutes left of the game. However, it was sure a night to remember.

“No offense, but guys never look forward to a typical date party where they have to get dressed up all fancy—But going to a Griffins game was a great idea! Being a hockey fan going through NHL withdrawals, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend time with my girlfriend,” said Brad Margolis.

Buses, loaded with Kappas and their dates, traveled to Grand Rapids to watch hockey game.

Senior of the Month:

KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA NOVEMBER 2012

MELANIE KOHN

As the seniors near graduation they offer advice that they’ve learned

along the way, share their experiences as a Kappa, and provide

some fun facts about themselves.

Major: Communications

Dream Career: Open my own communication firm in

Chicago

Fun Fact: I have six brothers and sisters between the ages

of two to 19

Celebrity Crush: George Clooney

Favorite Kappa Memory: On night of initiation the entire

senior class had a bitter-sweet celebration because it was our last initiation ever. We all went to El Azteco—We closed the place down! It was so great to bond with all my best friends and sisters, and reflect on the past four years as a KKG.

A Word of Advice: Figure out now what Kappa means

to you… With so little time left as a MSU Kappa I have come to realize how important the sorority is to me. Kappa defines me and has contributed significantly into the person I am today. I think it is important to really think about what the sisterhood means to you, because it will motivate you to enjoy Kappa to the fullest, and to never take any moment for granted.

Nancy’s Notes

NOVEMBER 2012 KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA

Shoes: Please take off your high-heels when walking around the house. It is

VERY loud!

Parking Lot: Over Winter Break we are having two large trees trimmed. NO

CARS should be parked in the Kappa/annex parking lot of the Hockey House lot. If you must leave your car here please see me and we will make arrangements so I can move your car while they are removing the trees!

Love you ALL,

Nanc
