A Note from Donna

Members,

Our September meet-ing promises to bean exciting one!! We willbe having our AnnualQuilt Challenge"Welcome to the Mov-ies" with all of our invited

guests voting on the Viewer's Choiceand 2 runner's up. We will be holdinga "Stash for Cash" event to assist withour treasury as well as help membersclear out their sewing rooms and makeroom for new things, and we will behaving our speaker Amy Windsor giv-ing a lecture. We need members forall sorts of things for the evening to bethe huge success I know it canbe. Everything from set up to takedown, publicity and invitations, andhospitality and greeting ourguests. Please help out your board ofdirectors and fellow quilt guild mem-bers and plan on taking on atask. This guild will only be successfulwith the participation of all of it's mem-bers. The board and I are excited toassist in the vision and direction thatthe members want to take the guild,but we can't do it alone! All ideas andinput are always welcome.

Miss Lous. We continue to have good

participation and are grateful for every-

ones commitment.

ity quilts.

- - - event at our Friday, September 6 meeting. Mem-bers who have quilting/sewing/craft related items (newor like new) can sell them at the meeting. We all havetons of stuff in our Stash we know we can't possiblyEVER get to finish. Here is an opportunity to turn thatstash into cash so you can add to your stash guiltfree!! We are hoping for a large turnout of quilters &friends from the surrounding guilds. You price youritems. The guild gets 25% of the sales for the evening.

thing from hair bands to clothespins. Recog-nize any of the items pictured? Do you use

these or have another that you find useful? It

isnt too late to share your tip or tool. Provide

a write-up on a 3x5 card, attach a picture if

possible and hand it into Donna. The tips and

tools will be compiled into a hand-

out for future

distribution.
