I want to acknowledge the voluntary work of all organisations in bringing about these improvements, which are so important to the local community. SEÁN CANNEY Recently the village has received: ● €100,000 from my Department under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme to replace footpaths ● €80,000 from my Department under the Rural Regeneration Fund for Derrycrag Nature Trail ● €31,300 for the astro pitch and lighting for Tommy Larkins GAA under Sports Capital Grants ● €23,400 for a storm water collection system at Rossmore from the Office of Public Works ● Funding for rehabilitation work at Bolagh Bridge ● Funding for the Woodford Furnace Festival under the Small Scale Local Festivals and Summer Schools Fund I am determined to support rural communities like Woodford to ensure they continue to improve, develop and preserve their localities.
