On behalf of the entire aerosol industry, the NAA arranged for Mike Freeman, President, WD-40, to testify before the House Committee on Energy & Commerce, which is considering legislation to prevent the EPA from enacting a reduced ozone standard before the current standard is fully implemented. (Seethefullreportin the June issue of SPRAY,p.36).
The EAA board had supported the preliminary effort of the NAA to travel to Washington, DC in April to meet with various members of Congress regarding this pending legislation. Abplanalp Sanders Fund DonationA "thank you" was received from the University of Minnesota for the $500 donation made by EAA to the Abplanalp Sanders Memorial Scholarship, which annually funds a graduate fellowship in aerosol research.
On behalf of the college...
The dedication and support of the Abplanalp Sanders Fellowship Fund by the EAA is so very much appreciated. The most recent $500 contribution shows your special commitment toward the upward progress of the aerosol industry by supporting higher education. This contribution moves the EAA up to the next level of $1000+ donors and you are now Spon-sors of the Abplanalp Sanders Fellowship Fund.
The Abplanalp Sanders Fellowship Fund continues to grow and support University of Minne-sota College of Science & Engineering Fellows each year with 100% of the donated money going directly into the Fund. Each student receives $32,000 per year (normally two years per Fellow) to continue his/her doctorate degree researching aerosol particulates.
I am truly proud to see the progress that has been made since the inception of this Fellow-ship Fund and the University of Minnesota and I thank you so much for your continued effort and support.
My very best regards,Donald E. RowsonPresident/CEO, Industiral Hydrocarbons, Inc.Chairman, Abplanalp Sanders Fellowship Fund
