Many thanks to over 50 Tyler Street volunteers for
sharing their weekend to make 400 guests from the
community as well as out of town feel welcome during
the annual Old Oak Cliff Conservaon League Fall Home
Tour. In recognion of our Centennial, Tyler Street was
included in this celebraon of Oak Cliff, and we were
able to showcase our beauful sanctuary, famous Rog-
er McIntosh windows and dome, Memorial Organ, bits
of Tyler Street history as well as a beauful display of
wedding dresses from ten decades. On the Friday prior to the tour, we were privileged
to welcome 15 visitors from the C. C. Young Rerement Center for a preview tour. Our
visitors were very interested in the pictures of the original church where Rev. Young
served as one of Tyler Street's early pastors. They were all capvated with the beauty of
the sanctuary and expressed an interest in returning when they could hear the or-
gan. Proceeds from the League tour are given back to the community in the form of
grants for neighborhood and community associaons for the connued beauficaon
and preservaon of Oak Cliff. Tyler Street is pleased to be a part of this effort. Thanks
again to all those who parcipated in this event. Carla Boss and Vivian Skinner

Thanksgiving Day at the Manor 2012
How many different ways can we find to say thank you? Good food, good fellowship,
and so much more. Once again we want to say thanks for remembering us on
Thanksgiving Day. For many years now, Tyler Street members have taken me on this
day to make it special for our residents, many of whom have no family to share it
with. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
