Dear Greenmount families,

As the end of the school year nears, it’s time to

farewell some staff who will be leaving us.

Firstly, Mrs Phyllis Bishop. Phyllis has been part

of the Greenmount team since 2012, working in

the Early Childhood classes. Phyllis has gained

the adoration and respect of students and staff

alike and we thank her for her great dedication

to her work here. Phyllis will be retiring and we

wish her well for this new adventure!

Manita Beskow—our School Psychologist—will

also be retiring at the end of this year. We

thank Manita for the support she has provided

students, teachers and families during her time

here at Greenmount, and wish her well as she

pursues her many interests next year.

After working as an EA in Room 1 for most of

this year, Mrs Lisa Tate then applied her

teaching qualifications and stepped into Room

12 with Year 4 students. We thank her for her

enthusiasm and energy in both roles, and hope

to see her back in 2021 should the opportunity

arise.

And Mrs Beth Williams, a member of our

cleaner’s team, will also be finishing her work at

Greenmount. Beth has been away following

some surgery mid year and we hope she is fit

and ready to enjoy 2021!

Learning side by side

The school is fortunate to have a wonderfully

supportive and proactive School Board and

P&C. Both these representative groups continue

to have positive input into the success of our

school. Leaving the School Board this year will

be Mrs Etsi Slater. Etsi has contributed many

thought provoking points and ideas to the

Board meetings during her tenure. Thank you

Etsi for all your work as a Board member.

Joining the P&C as a new mum 7 years ago, Mrs

Karen Donnelly thought that it would be ‘a great

way to meet other parents’ and says that new

parents should ’give it a go!’ A big thank you to

Karen who has worked in varying roles on the

P&C and finishes this year with her son

graduating from the school.

A reminder that tonight’s Presentation Night will

be held on the basketball courts beginning at

6pm. Please have children in their classrooms by

5.30pm.

Set up your chairs ready for a great night!

We ask that families sit together, remembering

to leave some distance between family groups.

Please remain behind the bunting.

Please note: the oval gate will not be open

tonight.
