A brilliant time was had by all at the Christmas Party on Thursday 8 December at the Holiday Inn, Hookwood. The food was lovely and lots of people joined in with the dancing. The whole event, from the venue to the menu, was completely organised by people we support. Here is just a small selection of photos of the festivities!

Pro-Active Committee Update

Since the last issue of the Proactive newsletter, the Committee has been asked to help Active Prospects plan for the future.

They talked about what we do well, what we could improve, and what we want to do in the next year.

The Committee also came up with ideas as to how we can support people to have new experiences and lead better lives. All of the thoughts and ideas put forward by the Committee will help shape the updated plans from 2017 onward. Staff and families are being asked to put forward their ideas as well.

The Committee also spent more time looking at different websites and identifying what features they liked and what they didn’t like. They also commented about which website design they preferred so that this could be taken into account as the new Active Prospects website is designed and built.

Reminder: Everyone is welcome to come to meetings. Minutes and future dates are avaiable in each service

Christmas Jumper Day at Active ProspectsStaff at Head Office got all festive on Save the Children’s annual fundraising Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 16 December.

Alan and Mick enjoyed a trip to see Panto ‘Cinderella’ with volunteer Jane.

Lots of new experiences for PatPat from Supported Living went to a conference in London with Head of Care, Jade, and had a great time going on the Tube, visiting Harrods and Winter Wonderland and having a Mexican meal out, all for the first time!

Cedarwood Lodge had a lovely Christmas party on Friday 16 December. A singer was booked to come and sing Christmas carols with people we support.

Keiran enjoyed helping to put the decorations up at Young Prospects.
