    Girton Glebe Newsletter

    A massive thank you to

    everyone who baked, helped

    at, and supported the first cake

    sale of the year - 192wasraised for FOGG, which is a

    great result for our first sale!

    The FOGG jumble sale is tomorrow- Saturday 4thOctober-

    between 11am - 1pm.

    If you can spare some time to help out on Saturday wed

    love to see you! We are in need of more helpers from11am onwards to sell and tidy up. Wed also appreciate

    donations of cakes and biscuits (baked or bought) for our

    refreshments stall. And, of course, come along to the

    jumble sale itself!

    Don't forget that school is closed on Monday for staff

    training, and, if you have children in Year 6, this is

    Impington Village College's Open Day.

    Impington Village College are running an information

    evening for parents of children in Year 5 and 6 on

    Wednesday 22ndNovember between 6pm and 7pm here at

    Girton Glebe Primary School. I would encourage you to

    come along and take the opportunity to meet some of their

    staff and have any questions answered.

    As requested, the PowerPoints used at our Curriculum

    Evenings are now available to view on the school website.

    They are located with the Curriculum Prcis. Go to Letters

    on the front page then select Curriculum Prcis.

    We are looking for a cleaner to join our

    team Working hours would be 3.30pm-

    6pm Monday to Friday which equates to

    12.5 hours a week. Work is mostly term

    time with some holiday work. If you or

    anyone you know is interested please

    contact the school office for further

    information. The deadline for applications

    is Friday 17th October at 12 noon.

    It was great to see so many parents at our harvest

    assembly. Thank you to everyone who sent in food

    donations to Jimmys. Your support is greatly appreciated.

    It is fantastic to see so many children participating in themany exciting clubs on offer this term. Can I just finish with

    a polite request that children are collected promptly from

    after school clubs. Thank you.

    Congratulations to Sarah (Birch), Aryaan (Oak) and

    Dina (Beech) who completed the summer reading

    challenge organised by Cambridge Central Library.

    They were awarded medals and certificates for their

    reat achievement.
