Oakvale Farm Early Stage 1 Excursion It was wonderful to see how excited our

kindergarten students were to experience an

excursion to Oakvale Farm. Our students had an

wonderful time feeding baby animals, riding in a

tractor, milking a cow and seeing many other farm

animals.

Kindergarten Orientation Today was our first Kindergarten Orientation and

we were so pleased to see many pre-schoolers

enjoying themselves. We hope to see all children

once again on the 3rd November, and continuing on

11th & 19th November from 9am-11am. Please

remember to bring a hat and a bottle of water for

your child. Uniform orders can be made to the

office at any time. If you any questions regarding

enrolment paperwork please see our office for

assistance. If you know of any child living in your

area that is turning 5 before the 31st July 2016,

please ask their parent to contact the office.

Presentation Day Our end of year Presentation Day will be held on

25th November from 9.30am in the school hall. This is a special presentation day where we

celebrate and congratulate our students on there

successes throughout the year. Please ensure your

child is dressed in full summer uniform.

Boys: polo shirt, grey shorts, grey socks & black

school shoes

Girls: summer tunic, white socks & black school

shoes

Please note Year 6 shirts are not to be worn

on Presentation Day.

If your child requires to hire a uniform for this

occasion please see the office as soon as possible

to make arrangements as there are limited items

to hire.

Year 6 Farewell All students in Years 5 & 6 have received a

permission note regarding the Year 6 Farewell

on Wednesday 25th November from 6pm-

9pm. Please ensure you return the signed

permission note with payment to the office to

assist staff with catering costs. We hope this will

be memorable night for our students to enjoy.

Merit Awards As the end of year Presentation Day is

approaching, we ask all students to ensure they

return all merit awards to Mrs Sweeny by 13th

November.

Playground Sounds On Tues 27th October students will participate

in Playground Sounds. This program promotes

exercise that will stimulate both mind and body.

All students have received an information note

about the program.

Postie Bike Grandprix

Cessnock East P&C Committee will have a stall at

the Postie Bike GP on Sunday 1st November. We

are asking for volunteers to assist for even one
