Dear valued customers,This mid-year has seen considerable activity. A successful event, took place in Jakarta on February 29th, 2012, marked the establishment of IFS User Indonesia as a new community for IFS User. This event officially announced that IFS Solutions Indonesia wants to get closer to customer. IFSSI would like to invite all IFS User Indonesia to join the IFS User Indonesia Facebook group and IFSSI Twitter as a place to share anything about IFS.

The newsletter of this second quarter focuses on the event-business activities which are successfully held by IFS Solutions Indonesia and in cooperation with other organization to gather IFS Customer and IFS Partners. There is also announcement of change management of IFSSI. This change management IS certainly being an effort to further develops IFSSI to be better in giving service to the customer and partner. Besides successful news about IFSSI, there is also an obituary from Bapak Syamsul Muarif, President Commissioner of IFSSI. IFS Solutions Indonesia extends a deep condolence to family, friend, and co-workers of him.As the global enterprise applications company, IFS always focus on making agile development methodology. IFS pleased to launch the new generation of its extended ERP suite, IFS Applications 8. The development of IFS Applications 8 which started in September 2009, represents IFS’s most significant product investment to date.

IFS is quietly confident that IFS will achieve the objective of doing a lot of innovation, improvement, and enrichment, including Consolidating Innovation, Advancing Core Processes, Business Intelligent, New and Updated Technology, and Reinforcing User Experience in IFS Applications 8. By focusing on the expressed need on the customer and no need for reinventing the wheels, the right solution is developed in the right way, at the right time, thereby ensuring on-time delivery, low costs and high quality. With an agile development methodology, IFS has reduced work in progress by 60 percent, increased its deliveries by a factor of 10, and achieved a 30 percent enhancement in quality. Nowadays, IFS Applications 8 has been successfully deployed at five early adapter customer sites around the world. These are Brightpoint, Portsmouth Aviation, Remmele Engineering, Teracom, and VBG GROUP. By centering activities to customers, IFS ensure right solution is delivered at the very highest level of quality.

While the environment will undoubtedly be challenging, IFSSI, nevertheless, wish you all be more success in your business activities. The last but not least, I would like to welcome you at IFS World Conference 2012 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

IFS Solutions Indonesia, PT., the global enterprise applications company in Indonesia, presented an Industry Solutions Forum with the theme IFS Process Industries, Recipe for Agile Business. This event held on 27 June 2012 at Hotel Sofyan Menteng Betawi, Jakarta. Attended by 12 companies from Process Industries, IFS Solutions Indonesia,PT., offered an event which gave them the power and versatility of IFS Applications to smooth their business.

Featuring the presentation of a greater flexibility and competitive advantage of IFS Applications for the business, the attendance looked very enthusiastic in paying attention to the speakers. Mr. Sridharan Arumugram, Mr. Champika Somathilake, and Mr. Mohamad Ramadhan Aviadin from PUSRI invited to be speakers in this forum.

In this event, Mr. Sridharan Arumugram, Vice President of IFS South East Asia came to give presentation a flash about IFS Company Profile, its applications, and its solutions. He also mentioned a little bit about the sophistication of IFS Applications 8.

“IFS Applications 8 offers world-class service and asset management all across the board, from efficient management of field workers to facilitating subcontractor collaboration. This comprehensive solution reflects IFS’s long-term commitment to providing industry excellence within Process Industries. Mr. Champika Somathilake, Support Manager of IFS Asia Pacific, gave presentation and demo of IFS Applications for Process Industries. He also explained that IFS Application can be used in mobile devices.

“IFS provides industry-specific functionality for enterprises in chemicals, food and beverage, paint and ink, and pharmaceuticals. IFS Applications support the critical business process, such as material compliance, batch balancing, recipe management, quality management and demand planning, including soluytions for enterprise asset management, product lifecycle management, customer relationship management, finance and human resource management,” said Mr. Champika.

Another topic which been discussed in this event was an IT Challenge in Process Industries Field. Mr. Mohamad Ramadhan Aviadin from PUSRI explained more about how IFS Applications take PUSRI’s (now, Pupuk Indonesia Holding company) need in business process more seriously than any other enterprise resource planning (ERP) vendor.

In the end of each session and in the end of the forum, there was question and answer session which really be used by the attendance to ask questions about IFS Applications. The was also demo booth provided in this forum, so the attendance could look the display of IFS Applications.

PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia conducted a half day seminar on 24 April 2012, from noon to 4 P.M at Namaste Restaurant, Graha MIK, Kuningan, Jakarta. This event held aimed to update to the IFS Customers who has not used IFS AMS yet about “What’s in IFS AMS Programs for Customers?”

With the theme “Maintain your IFS Application Reliability”, the speakers of this event: Mr. Ridhwan Latif, Business Development Manager IFSSI & Mr. Wawan Dermawan, CSD Manager IFSSI, were appointed to bring the agenda presentation of this event. This event covered about IFS AMS Program Variants and Their Benefits, Facilities that IFSSI Provide to Participants of the AMS Programs, and Other Special Support Programs.

At the first session, Mr. Ridhwan Latif presented about “IFS Application Maintenance and Service Program”. Further, he explained smoothly about the differentiation of AMS Standard and AMS Extended. He also explained about Contract Service of AMS. With the 30 minutes presentation, the participants looked very enthusiastic in listened the presentation. Various questions asked to Mr. Ridhwan Latief related to the topic he brought.

At the second session, Mr. Wawan Dermawan, got chance to present about AMS in specific and how CSD Team of IFSSI supports the customers of IFS AMS with a complete knowledge. He also presented about the service contract package, preventive obligation visit, corrective action, service level, and support type variations in IFSSI.

At the end of the presentation time of the speakers, while enjoying coffee break given by the committee, there was a discussion session. The participants freely asked questions related to IFS AMS to both speakers. The participants looked very satisfied with the presentations and the answers given by both speakers. They hope in the future there will be the kind of event such as this event again.

PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia was chosen by PT. Lintasarta to be a speaker in Karawang International Industrial City (KIIC) Member Gathering, which successfully be held on 25 January 2012, in Multi-Purpose Room, Graha KIIC 3rd Floor, KIIC, Karawang. The event started from 08.30 AM to 01.00 PM. More than 18 companies participated in this Wednesday Event.

This gathering is a routine activity for KIIC Area Tenant, held every Wednesday morning. The topic is usually different from the time to time. For this time gathering, Information Technology was selected to be a topic. And, PT. Lintasarta selected “Implementing Cloud Computing Technology in Manufacturing Industry” as the theme.

In this time gathering, the general participant came from IT Department and Production Department of KIIC Tenant and some companies which came from around KIIC area. After the opening speech from KIIC Management, the three presentations began. The first presentation was from Mr. Avi Yunawan, VAS Manager of PT. Aplikanusa Lintasarta (Lintasarta). He explained about Managed Technology Services: “Help you focus on core business”. The second presentation was from Mr. Agung Santosa, Solution Architect of NetApp Indonesia. He explained about Integrated Secure Cloud Solution. Then, the third presentation was from Mr. Eko Winarso, Presales & Channel Relations Manager of PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia. He explained about Myths and Realities ERP in cloud computing. Mr. Eko Winarso also showed about IFS Applications 7.5 Race Demo and treeS Demo (an application specially designed for plantation business).

After the presentation, Panel Discussion opened. The attendance was really looked curious to know about the Cloud Computing and ERP System. At the end of the gathering, the lucky draw gave to the lucky attendance. PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia hopes that through this event, the attendance can really know about the role of ERP in Cloud Computing.

KIIC Member Gathering

IFSSI new management 2012Based on PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia (IFSSI) Extra Ordinary Shareholders meeting held on 10 March 2012 today announced the approval of resignation of the management team who as consist of Mr. Ellan Syuherlan as President Director.

At the same time, PT IFS Solutions Indonesia Extra Ordinary Shareholders meeting have also decided and approved to appoint new management team of the company and choosed Bapak Sutan Simanjuntak as the new President Director.

The appointment of Bapak Sutan Simanjuntak as new President Director of the company is expected to give the positive feedback from the company’s stakeholders. Previously Bapak Sutan Simanjuntak was acting as the active Commissioner for the company for about five (5) years. The shareholders believe that the new management of IFSSI has the ability and competency to improve the company’s performance and bring the company to the next level and bring benefit to all company’s stakeholders.

PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia (IFSSI) has officially launched IFS User Community on February 29, 2012. A gathering in Ikuze Restaurant, Epicentrum Walk Kuningan, Jakarta marked the forming of this user community. All IFS User in Indonesia invited to this community gathering.

This IFS User community formed to be a place for sharing information about IFS Applications between IFS User Indonesia and IFSSI. Mr. Sridharan Arumugram, Vice President of IFS Sales ASEAN, exclusively invited and came at this 1st IFS User Community Gathering.

“IFS User Community is a specific media presented for free for IFS User Indonesia (customer) to share idea or anything about IFS Applications”, said Mr. Handi Sapta Mukti, Director of Marketing and Business Development IFSSI in welcome speech. Further, Mr. Ketut A. Yogiswara told, “IFS User Indonesia Facebook Group also made as one of media to complete this IFS User Community. IFSSI welcome the IFS user to share opinion there. For the next gathering, IFSSI will do selection of IFS User Community Board of Management.”

Mr. Sridharan Arumugram also expressed his feeling pleasure of the forming of IFS User Community Gathering. Besides launched IFS User Community Gathering, Mr. Sridharan explained the details about the next generation of IFS Application: IFS Application 8. He elaborated that in IFS Applications 8, there were a lot of innovation, improvement, and enrichment. Those are included in the following categories: Consolidating Innovation, Advancing Core Process, New and Update Technology, Reinforcing User Experience, and Business Intelligence. He also invited the member who were currently run IFS older version to upgrade it to IFS Applications 8. In the end of the event, Mr. Yonan Mahardika, CSD Consultant IFSSI, gave an interesting tips and tricks about IFS Trouble Shooting with Accounting Approaches.

Solutions for Agile Business

PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia (IFSSI) wish to extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of President Commissioner PT. IFSSI, Mr. Syamsul Muarif. Mr. Syamsul Muarif passed away while

being treated in General Hospital, Singapore on April 3rd, 2012 at 09.45 Singapore Time.

Mr. Syamsul Muarif had been suffered from lung cancer for nine months and he was continuously being struggle against the disease until he passed away. The deceased has been a President Commissioner of

PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia since March 17th, 2005 until now.

Mr. Syamsul Muarif will be missed by us for his long, dedicated, and distinguished service to PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia was being an official sponsor for Annual AKI Seminar and Meeting, which be held on 28 March 2012, at Le Meridien Hotel, Jakarta. This event took theme: “Succeeding Infrastructure Deve.lopment Program in Supporting a Sustainable Economy.” Mr. Djoko Kirmanto, Minister of Public Works Republic of Indonesia, officially opened this seminar and meeting which attended by about 69 EPC companies in Indonesia.

This 2012 annual member meeting designed for the submission of financial reports and activities of AKI in 2011, submission of AKI work program and budget 2012, and also discussion of problems and the determination of organization policy. While, this routine seminar be held aimed to give the overview of government programs to the member of AKI about the next infrastructure development, established coordination between the users services from the government institution and state-owned company, and also provided input and overview to the government within the framework of the policy making.

Three topics were chosen to be discussed in this seminar. They were prospect and challenges development infrastructure with its policy supporters, prospect and challenges for infrastructure project in BUMN area, and MRT development planning.

Carrying the theme “Project Based Business Applications”, PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia, opened a booth to give information to attendances of this event. Many attendances visited IFSSI booth to get information about IFS Applications. Special for this event, IFSSI gave 50 discount license fees only for 3 deals on April 2012.

IFS Solutions Indonesia

IFS, the global enterprise applications company in Indonesia, joined INACHEM, Indonesia’s biggest International Trade Fair and Conference for the Chemical, Fine & Specialty Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Industries on 11-13 July 2012 at Jakarta Convention Center.

The event, hosted jointly by Federation of the Indonesia Chemical Industry (the umbrella association comprised of 30 Indonesia chemical associations), the Indonesia Institution of Chemical Engineer, and the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia is the main meeting point for industry players to serve the growing demand for chemical products, services, and technology in Indonesia and South East Asia region.

The event was aimed to encourage the creativity of business activated in national industry. INACHEM 2012 event were attended by approximately 141 companies from China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan, Germany, Hongkong, and some other countries.

IFS Solutions Indonesia, PT. became one participant in the INACHEM 2012. IFSSI represented by Mr. Ketut A. Yogiswara, Marketing Manager IFSSI, gave a presentation about IFS Applications, its innovative features, and its superiority in smoothing the business process. The presentation conducted in front of INACOAT (Indonesia Paint Manufacturer Association (IPMA/ACI), Indonesia Synthetic Resin Association (ARSI) and Federation of the Indonesian Chemical Industry (FIKI) in the second day of INACHEM event.

IFSSI opened a demo booth for the attendance who wants to know more about IFS Applications. 50 companies which come from various process manufacturing industries visit IFSSI booth to ask detail about IFS Applications Solutions.

Furthermore, by joining this event, IFS Solutions Indonesia, PT. looks forward to helping all Process Industries exploit at the potential of IFS ERP application and stay at the forefront of its industry by, among other things, increasing the efficiency of its business operations.

USER PROFILE

There was no success can be achieved without hard work and willingness of each individual person. To achieve that goal, we must strive and work hard in accordance with our passion either through your own business or through a professional path. Ricky Fransiskus was born on 03 July 1973 in a village in Bangka. When he was at Junior High School College and Senior High School College, he must went to school by passing the bay with 3 kinds of vehicles, first by using bicycle from home to the dock, then on ship crossing and then continued with a mini bus or car public transportation to school. So, virtually, every day at that time, he leaves home early in the morning and arrived home late at night. Most of his friend failed and dropped out from school. He was very grateful that he could pass that time well, and finally he continued the bachelor study in Jakarta. Ricky was strongly believes that a good education would be able to change his life in the future. From childhood, Ricky was ambitious, intelligent, and competitive. In school, he had an excellent record in mathematics and science.

Ricky Fransiskus was very much interested in the world of Information Technology (IT). With his loving in IT world, while at that time, there was not much college offered IT major as the study, he finally chose Bina Nusantara University and he took major in Informatics Management. In the fifth semester, he got his first opportunity in a leasing company, PT. Indomaru Multi Finance, in which he was selected as a programmer. Being in this company, he found a new way to apply his skills in computerize system. Then, in 1996 he moved to PT. Soho Industri Pharmasi, until present. Now, he is being IT System Support and Development Division Head of PT. Soho Global Health (SOHO Group).

Until now, his passion is still in the IT world and he always tried to follow the development of IT by searching appropriate technologies which are very useful for himself and for the company where he worked for.

Since joining PT. Soho Industry Pharmacy in 1996 as a Programmer Analyst when at the time the amount of computer is less than 10 units, and there were no an integrated system between the existing departments, and all process still done manually, except in Production Planning process.

In 1998, top management decided to implement ERP system both for the integration between departments and for the anticipation of W2K at that time. Finally, IFS Applications was chosen since its application was in modular system, flexible, user friendly, and easy to be implemented.

ERP implementation became a very big challenge at that time and must be faced by Ricky as IT Manager and Project Manager for ERP implementation. He succeed the implementation of ERP implementation both at PT. Soho and PT. Ethica with 3 modules, they were: Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing. During the implementation process, he learned much about IFS Applications system and business process in distribution and manufacturing area.

Through a long implementation process about a year, eventually all three modules can go live until now. After that, the amount of computer was growing in line with the business growth. At that time the IT function separated to be 2 parts, they were: IT Support & Development and IT Infrastructure.In 2012, IT Functions were consolidated into one team under the holding company of PT. Soho Global Health. Ricky Fransiskus was being appointed as IT System Support and Development Division Head to provide support and development as well as manage all the business applications needed by the SOHO Group.

As IT System Support and Development Division Head, the knowledge in the IT world should be updated continuously in order to provide solution for the future business growth. Spirit, commitment, and a strong team will always being a key success for the IT implementation in various IT projects. He hopes one day IT will be as strategic role and important function in an organization, so it can give enormous impact on the growth of the company.

SOHO Group started cooperation with PT. IFS Solutions Indonesia since 1998 with training of F1 and Rational Rose, and then continued with module implementation IFS99 for Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing. In 2002, SOHO Group started to implement HR operative module.

As an IFS user, Ricky Fransiskus suggested that for the future, there should be a special training center for IFS Applications which has been certified, so the name of IFS is being more well-known in the public. Because according to him IFS is a good product but there is only a few people in IT community that known IFS.

Besides that, with IFS user community that has been established, he hopes that it can be a place for sharing the experiences about IFS between IFS Users.

IFS Brings Mobile Workforce Scheduling to the clouds

IFS announced the launch of IFS 360 Scheduling, the workforce optimization toolset, in the Windows Azure cloud. This strategy reaffirms IFS’s commitment to recognized state-of-the-art standards and technologies and provides a cost-efficient platform for innovative business solutions, as recently also evidenced by the smartphone apps series IFS Touch Apps. The new deployment option provides customer benefits, such as quick implementation and flexible, on-demand scale-out to handle workload peaks.

With this new benefit, customer can deploy a production-quality environment in less than one hour. Company will enjoy reliable and hassle-free use while focusing exclusively on their business. Mr. Laurent Othacehe, CEO, IFS 360 Scheduling said that by making IFS 360 Scheduling available on Windows Azure, the software will be reliable, scalable, quick and easy to implement.

Dan Matthews, CTO of IFS also explained that this new cloud offering is a perfect example of how IFS can leverage cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies for an applications which truly benefits from such a deployment model and to enable IFS customers to extend their options with cloud-based applications.

In addition, Kim Askers, General Manager for ISV partners at Microsoft Corp. added that by building on the investments Microsoft has made in Windows Azure, IFS is able to respond to customer needs and quickly roll out innovative, business-critical solutions.

Eltel, one of the Nordic region’s leading companies within electricity, telecom and IT infrastructure, has chosen to expand its investment in the IFS Applications suite to streamline processes, modernize its technological platform, and replace a number of supplementary systems. During the last ten years, the company has been running an IFS service solution that covers business-critical processes such as work orders, purchasing, project management, and financials. The agreement between the Eltel Group and IFS is a continuation of the two companies’ long-standing cooperation, as well as a functional extension of the solution. With the investment, Eltel aims to streamline and modernize its operations.Thomas Strandberg, CIO Eltel Group, said that the IFS Applications business system is central in Eltel operations. This investment is another step to create a more customer-oriented organization, and the business system is a tool to secure Eltel position within infranet industry.

Glenn Arnesen, CEO, IFS Scandinavia also said that IFS is pleased to continue an efficient solutions for service and maintenance represent a long-term strategic to support Eltel’s continued growth in an exciting and dynamic market.
