Our mission, as Campus Crusade, is to reach every student in every place at UF so that everyone knows someone who truly fol- lows Christ. Earlier this semester our Cam- pus Director, Jimmy Trent, announced to 400 students that he was expecting God to bring5,000 students into the movement in 5 years. That is a large number and many ofus were skeptical but after a recent leader- ship retreat God gave us more of a vision for what he is really doing on this campus. We asked our leaders to write down how many spiritual conversations they had in the past month, how many Gospel presenta- tions they gave in the past month and how many people they witnessed give their lives to Christ in the past year. Before I go through staff training I will report to my summer assignment in Acadia National Park, Maine. Our staff will work with 20 students from across the country, including Ashley, whom I disciple at UF, focusing on stu- dent leadership in Cru sade. It will give me an opportunity to work as staff on a project, learn more about Lifelines and bond with the other staff I’ll be work- ing with next y ear. This is a sig- nificant event closing out my year as an intern and beginningmy journey as full time staff. Before I report I must raise an additional $5,000 to cover the c osts.
