Pupil Voice This section is written by groups of children within our school and the following report is about Winter

Wellbeing.

This winter, we all had fun taking part in ‘Winter Wellbeing’. We have been learning how to look after ourselves and to understand our feelings and emotions.

At the beginning of January, our school hosted a ‘Photo Booth’ week. We were invited to the hall each

morning to wear something green and take silly or nice photos with our family and friends. We will be putting the photos onto Seesaw soon, so keep a close eye out for them.

On Thursday 23rd January our school took part in a ‘No Tech Day’ to help reduce our screen time and keep us happy during school. We learnt that if we stay off our electronics our eyes don’t hurt as much and we usually

go to sleep earlier. Thank you for those who took part at home!

Last week, each class took part in ‘Mindful Moments’ week. During our time to be mindful, we all sat down with some calming music and drew a peaceful picture. Sometimes, we sit there and close our eyes after break

time or lunchtime to calm down before we are ready to learn.

Below there are some wellbeing challenges that you could try at home:

Year 5 - Wonder Dome On Monday 3rd February, Year 5 had the Wonder Dome in school. When inside, the children got to

experience some detailed photographs of space projected onto the side of the dome including all the planets in our Solar System. Our host Steve, talked through the different features of the planets and the children got

to ask him several questions. It was a great way to end our topic on Space and Steve commented how impressed he was at what the children knew already.
