Programme Coordinator KVK Dr.RL.Kale chaired the meeting while KVK experts RS.Daware, S.K.Deshmukh and Home Scientist Miss. S.N.Watane were present as guest of honor. Dr.R.L.Kale in interactive meeting said that women SHG should come forward for setting up own agril. andallied enterprises and give assurance for technical back stopping and support for promoting entrepreneurship. He further shared success stories and happenings of women's in various fields and welcome the suggestions given by participants in the interface meeting about organizing specialized training of vermin-compost production technology and other related suggestions. R.S.Daware in his address focused on improvement of qualities in women's like capacity building in decision making, importance of money saving, managerial proficiency and express concern on declining femaleratio in the human population. He further suggested measures about timely planning for women empowerment and nurturing self employment generation activities in womenSHGs. Live demonstrations of poultry breeds Swarnadhara, Kadaknath, Black Astrolap, Giriraja, Poultry and cattle feeds, hydroponics technique· for fodder production, silage bag, Azolla culture and fodder Phule Jaywant attracted the visitors. Apart of this information flex on various goat breeds, services ofKVKs, fodder production and various publications were also displayed in the exhibition stall. One day special training on Goat farming wasconducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra on 22 January 2016which was sponsored by Mahila Arthik Vikas Mandal(MAVIM) & Community Managed Resource CentreManora. The total 40 women's participants were present forthe training from Manora block.

Dr. R.L.Kale, Head, KVK, Dr. D. L. Ramteke, P.A.(Animal Science), R.S Daware SMS (Plant Protection),Miss. Kusum P. Rupne, CMRC Block Manager, MissJyotitai R. More, Rekha Maske, Rama Khirade and VikasDikshit Accountant CMRC, Manora Cluster were presenton this occasion.

At the outset of the programme Dr.R.L.Kale explained about the available services providedby KVK & briefed the importance of allied enterprise. Heurged the women's to change their mind set by collectinginformation and skills through such vocational training andexpressed the importance of farming women in ruralagriculture since ancient era.

R.S Dawre enlighten on the goat management andmarketing strategies for the better income. He has made thepower point presentation on Skill for enter pruner to startthe entrepreneurship. Dr. D.L.Ramteke delivered lectureon goat farming related issue like feed management,selection of site and construction of low cost shade, govt.scheme, functioning of goat farming disease management& Goat insurance etc. He further appealed SHG group tostart the new goat farming unit and assured technical backstopping to the upcoming unit.

countries' economies. Unfortunately, agriculture alone is nolonger able to provide a reliable live hood for the growingpopulation in these countries. Alternative or additionalincome generating opportunities are needed to support of poorfamilies who can no longer support their livelihood from landalone. That's why Home science Department of KVK Kardaorganized five days vocational training on EntrepreneurshipDevelopment on Turmeric, Potato , Papad and GrainProcessing with the financial assistance of MACP (ATMA)Washim. Aim of these training is to train the rural youth inagro processing & increase their income by establishingsmall-scale enterprises in rural areas which required littlecapital investment and can be carried out in the home withoutthe need for sophisticated or expensive equipment.

In Inaugural speech Dr. Kale, Head, KVK briefedabout importance of value addition and available servicesprovided by KVK. Sri Waghmare (pD ATMA Washim) urgedthe participant to change their mind set up by collectinginformation and skill through such vocational training. Avoidmistake in business and use natural resources for agroprocessing. Shri D. B. Wagh, MACP ATMA Washim said thatgroup farming is must for the development of farmers. Singlecropping system avoid and adopt mix cropping system forbetter future.

In technical session Miss. S.N. Watane emphasized onthe importance of pulses, cereals, vegetables, and fruit inhuman diet. She briefed on processing is very importantactivity for value addition. Shri Prashant Ajindhekar guidedon terms and condition of FDA, Food licensing, labeling,branding etc. Shri Pravin Kayande (Faculty MCED Washim)guided on opportunities available in processing. MissMahabale explain the objective of ATMA. The practicaldemonstration was given to participant on Turmaric, Potato,Papad and Grain processing at demonstration unit ofKVK byan expert Sau. Arachana Kadam. The exposure visit was alsoorganized at Bhar Jahagir and Risod.

View ofPMRC meeting of NABARD project

In order to review the progress of implementation oftheNABARD funded project Promotion of Farmers ProducerOrganizations (FPOs) and to short out operational issues of theprojectIst Project Monitoring and Review Committee Meetingwas conducted in the conference hall KVK on 30th March,2016.

The meeting was presided over by Vijay Khandre,DDM NABARD Washim, Lead Bank Manager S.S.Mehta,Branch Manager SBI Risod S.H.Nayar, ProgrammeCoordinatorKVK Dr.R.L.Kale, Agriculture Marketing ExpertMACP Dhananjay Wagh, BASIX representative UtkarshBhole, SBI Field Officer Swapnil Akhade, POPI ResourcePerson S.K.Deshmukh, KVK Expert R.S.Daware, BusinessFacilitator Gajanan Khandare and Farmers ProducerCompanys representative of Manor a and Risod block attendedthemeeting. At the outset S.K.Deshmukh welcomed theentireparticipant and explained the importance of the project.Dr.R.L.Kale stated the role of KVK while working as aproducer organization promoting institute, future strategiesaboutfish processing and marketing and further assured KVKsupportfor this project.

Shri. Khandre enumerated objective of the project andstressedon issues like meetings of board of director, repaymentof loan and support of NABARD in strengthen of FPOsactivities were also shared by him. Lead Bank ManagerShri.Mehta interacted with FPOs representative and had giveninformation on newly launched P.M.Fasal Bima Yojana to theparticipants.

Dhananjay Wagh focussed on documentation andreporting of farmer producer company to Registrar ofcompanies,need of primary market survey and assured supportof MACP project for preparation of feasible business plan.KVK experts Shri. Kale explain the importance of standardfor food quality and labeling of food product and urge theparticipants to start the small scale enterprise on Soyaprocessing for self employment generation. Mr. D aw ar eSMS Plant Protection interacted with the trainee participanton the aspect of " SWOT analysis of soya processingenterprise" through participatory approach. At the end of thesession each of the trainee participants presented SWOTanalysis with reference to his proposed soya processingactivity.
