Although this is unlikely many will be able to answer the question, what is Singa-pore - a city or island state? It turns out that the one and the second and the third In fact, no raging ocean in Singapore is not in sight. And despite the fact that Sin-gapore is one of the twen-ty smallest countries in the world.

The old are inexplicably adja-cent to the new - it’s hard to understand where it ends and begins skyscrapers classic Chinatown or Little India, less real.

How could this happen meta-morphosis? After all, even what some 200 years ago the-se places were the most com-mon tiny island almost enti-rely covered with impenetrable jungle, literally teeming with tigers. By the way, these pre-dators were a major problem for the British during the de-velopment of this area. Fero-cious animals, of course, it is not like the fact that the inva-sion of their rights in their fa-miliar surroundings, and they ate about 300 workers invol-ved in cutting down the jun-gle. And since in those days on the outskirts of the Malay world of labor was abundant, tigers were finally defeated. Although the history of Singa-pore began not with the moment when the British appeared on the island, and to goraz befo-re. However, its early fog and uncertainty.

The first information on this site belong to the II centu-ry. even in comparison with Europe, the standard of living. And on the immediate environment - In-donesia, Malaysia or the Philip-pines, not even worth talking - nothing. The only thing that

perhaps can be compared to Sin-gapore - this is Hong Kong, but with a very large Shimi reserva-tions. Although in both cases to

the creation of civilized tech-nocratic oases in Asia a hand

whole merit of local residents. At the same time Hong Kong was

purely Chinese, but in Singa-pore, despite the predominance of the same Chinese who turned out fantastic international and

cosmopolitan city. And despite the fact that Sin-gapore is one of the twen-ty smallest countries in the world.
