Program : Creative Industry Talent Empowerment Zone Program 2016 (Citezone)Date : 9- 12 April 2016Place : UUM Sintok, Kedah

Citezone is one of the initiatives by the Ministry of Communication and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) for professionals, academics, creative practitioners and students from all over Malaysia to empower the creative industry as part of the Dasar Industri Kreatif Negara (DIKN) agendas. The event was held from 9 – 12 April 2016 at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Sintok, Kedah.

myBuddies Press ConferenceHeld at Magnum Café, IOI City Mall, Putrajaya on 12 May 2016, MYNIC has organized a press conference to share with the media and blogger about myBuddies Run and myBuddies Strikers program.

The event started at 3.00pm with introduction by Chief Marketing Officer, Talib Sabri Sulaiman. Both myBuddies Run and myBuddies Strikers were then briefed by the Project Manager, Mohammad Firdaus Mustafar. Meanwhile CEO, Hasnul Fadhly Hassan gave a welcoming speech during the event.

Among the media in attendance including RTM, Bernama, Sinar Harian, The Star Online, Utusan Malaysia, Kosmo while bloggers attended including The Vocket, Running Kaki, coretangme.blogspot.my and Action Pix Media.

A short game was organised with the attendees using ichoose.my platform after the press conference. Prizes including IKEA and Parkson shopping vouchers.

The program was launched by Chief Director of FINAS, YBhg Datuk Kamil Othman. MYNIC participated in the exhibition booth during the launch in order to provide information to the participants regarding MYNIC’s roles and services.It was a 4 day event which includes creative talks, forums, seminars and Masterclass. More than 300 visitors attended this exhibition despite the semester break on the event day.

Kreativiti @Komuniti, KolejKomuniti Kok Lanas

Kreativiti@Komuniti is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) together with its agencies such as FINAS, MDEC, RTM Kelantan and JAPEN to instill creativity in the community by promoting platforms and programs such as a Pitching Centre and Micro Funds talks such as Wayang Pacak - Bravo 5, Games Creation training and Bengkel Penerbitan Promo dan Dokumentari.

myBuddies StrikersThe myBuddies Program has been previously introduced to promote a healthy online lifestyle by introducing the myBuddies Strikers program to the public. The myBuddies Strikers is a bowling competition that would be able to enhance Malaysian spirit of unity and solidarity. It was divided into two legs, the first was launched on 29th of May 2016 at Wangsa Bowl, IOI City Mall Putrajaya.

The event started at 11.00am. All 38 registered groups gathered early in the morning to participate. Consisting of 4 people per group, the competition ran smoothly and every participant enjoyed a competitive yet friendly 3 hours battle of the pins playing 3 games cross-lane format style. The winner of the competition was announced immediately after all the teams has finished their games.

MYNIC’s Chief Marketing Officer, En. Talib Sabri Sulaiman handed over the prizes to the winners. The winner for 1st place to 3rd place received cash prizes and a trophy while 4th, 5th and the best male and female player award received cash prizes.

The event was held on from 25 – 27 May 2016 at Kolej Komuniti Kok Lanas, Kelantan and the program was launched by Secretaries General of KKMM, YBhg Dato' Sri Dr. Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad. MYNIC participated in the event by opening a booth during the 3-day event in order to give exposures to the participants on MYNIC’s roles and services.

MYNIC @ Hari UnescoMYNIC joined Hari UNESCO Malaysia 2016 as an exhibitor under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) booth to promote our products and programs as a platform to educate the public on MYNIC’s roles and functions.

The event was held at Taman Wetland, Putrajaya on 28 May 2016 and was organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. It is an initiative by the UNESCO National Commission of Malaysia and celebrated every year. This year's approach is to highlight Education, Science and Culture in Malaysian society.

The closing event was officiated by YBhg Dato’ Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Minister of Education and the President of Malaysia National Commission for UNESCO. The event was graced by the presence of several ministers such as the Minister of Education, Minister of Higher Education, Minister of Family, Women and Community Development, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Director of UNESCO Office in Jakarta, and Secretaries General from MOSTI.

There were lots of fun and interactive activities as well as entertainment provided during the festival. Among them are interactive exhibitions on science and culture, artist performances such as Altimet and Harris (Idola Kecil), batik painting, vendor festival, and food trucks.

MYNIC has conducted a Corporate Social Responsibility (SCR) program in collaboration with Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia – a non-government organization. The CSR program was a series of talk set-up for form five students from SMK Bandar Baru Bangi, Jalan Dua on 23rd June 2016. More than 200 student has attended to this program.

The program started at 2.00pm with talk on “Transformasi Diri 360” by Cikgu Yaser, a

panel of Program Assalamualaikum – TV Al Hijrah. Followed by talk on “Jadikan Gajet Anda Mesin Wang” presented by Mohd Firdaus Azizi, a Facebook motivator and the last slot was “Forum Perdana : Media Sosial – Pembina Diri vs Pemusnah Diri” by Mohd Fadzli, a presenter from TV Al Hijrah and Irma Hasmie, a celebrity.

The highlight of the event is the hand over of Mock Cheque Donation worth RM25,000
