DGM-North Message on H1 initiative and H2 priorities: Dear All Branch Heads/SFs/FABs/Functional Heads/Product heads and Regional Heads @ North Financial year 2010-11 we have passed H-1, now one month of H-2 also passed, as you know well this year theme is service improvement for North zone for which we have taken series of action and succeeded in many initiatives. Phase-1, H-1 initiatives was: 1) Our prime responsibility was to build second line team in operation . 2) Business orientation of operation team. 3) Provide best of services in Delhi NCR for upcountry region. 4) Build intra region service improvement in HHPJ/UPT/Rajasthan. 5) Product and function oriented operation team and process. We have got good success in second line team building, today we have stable, dedicated and motivated second line team holding our operation in all odd conditions. We have seen fairly developed knowledge and focus on business-oriented approach but in this area we have to go long way we really have to learn to provide excellent service with minimum cost. One good area where our upcountry franchisees also started appreciating that is Delhi NCR connectivity from upcountry regions and this will certainly improve our these regions business but here also non dox deliveries connection in first load mainly upto 5kg is still a area of concern and team is working in that direction, Punjab team still could not fix the vehicle timings to Delhi. We have got very little success in intra region services, all three UPT/HHPJ and Rajasthan have to go long way in developing this requirement of business. Under new initiative product and function oriented operation focus we got very good success in PEP operation this is really a champion now, DP operation focus just begin, we have to work a lot on VAS/Intercity/International operation and strengthen RCPAI/ops accounts, lastly we must appreciate ops HR and training initiative which is again champion of the field. While we have to continue focus and improve on above agenda, we have strategies phase-2 plan and H-2 focus areas. In next phase we have to go third level of team building and take all initiate and focus to branch level which is real field without which success cant be achieved in any initiative. Along with branch focus we will enhance zonal services to four states MP/Chattisgarh/Bihar and Jharkhand where highest movement is there from North. Accordingly H-2 top priorities are defined as: 1) Build highly effectives and most responsive branches/SFs of north. BMs/SFs with highest level of ownership are only welcome in north. 2) Successful implementation of Project- 100-100 and ZTB in 50 locations. 3) Streamline ex-north to Bihar/Jharkhand/MP/Chattishgarh services. 4) Build nondox operation oriented process and infrastructure in branches and apex. 5) Fix Gurgaon services @best in the industry. My appeal to team to understand this agenda and work on this in your respective areas. My special appeal to all FAB members to support branches and SFs to achieve H-2 agenda and regional heads to extend all required resources and keep strong review mechanism for faster implementation. Regards Amit Shankhdhar DGM-North
