“It has been very interesting to work on Meet with Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners as they are masters at designing system furniture. Our very first meeting during Salone del Mobile in 2013 quickly turned into a fascinating, rather philosophical discussion about the meaning of informal meetings. From there Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners have carried out this project perfectly. They have come through with a sofa that serves the meeting and work aspect in a very generous way”, says Anders Englund, Design Manager at Offecct.

“Offecct is the first Swedish company that we are working with, which is exciting. We are particularly happy that Offecct saw the potential of Meet because this is the first client collaboration of our studio in the new constellation Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners”, adds Robin Rizzini.

No matter if you are in a meeting room or a living room, thereis no need for the environment to suit only one type of activity.Today’s technology has made great flexibility possible, and perhaps even necessary.That is why we wanted to create a sofa that gives you the feeling of being virtually anywhere, a center of comfort, with all the appliances you might need for work, informal meetings and some casual time. Offecct’s new sofa Meet is designed solely for this purpose. Its soft seating that rests on a sturdy platform is the result of the first collaboration between the Milan based design studio Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners and Offecct.

“When we work on projects aimed at the environment between office and residential space, we always raise our gaze to look at the surroundings. We don’t want to see only the product. We want to understand and feel how this product will actually work in a space so it can be of full service to the people who will use it”, explains Robin Rizzini.

Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners’ design for Meet shows that you can have a perfectly effective meeting and work session in a padded furniture. The platform of the sofa hides everything you need to keep communication devices connected, charged and ready for use when required.

“We wanted to design Meet to enable successful and creative meetings. In addition we wanted its functions to feature Offecct’s main focus areas: sustainability, sound absorbing qualities, the positive effects of plants in indoor environments and Offecct’s craftsmanship in working with wood and fabrics”, continues Robin Rizzini.

The Italian studio Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners is a newly formed team run by Robin Rizzini as chief designer, Lucio Quinzio Leonelli as managing partner and Bruno Fattorini as president.

The group has earned international reputation for their unique approach to furniture design, which is characterised by an Italian touch and supported by R&D activities on materials and processes. The studio’s combined expertise includes extensive knowledge of the area between residential and office space. Their design projects have earned them awards such as winner of the furniture design category at Azure Awards 2013, winner of the Interior Innovation Award by the German Design Council 2012 and the Interior Innovation Award – Best of Best 2014.
