At the start of 2011 I look back on my first two years in the role as Group Managing Director for CR Asia with a great deal of pride in the achievements of our staff and subsidiaries since 2009.

As we entered 2009 on the back of the global economic crisis there wasconsiderable concern throughout the Group and the Board regarding the impact that this crisis would have on the company.

It is a credit to all of you that through our strong relationships with suppliers, good safety record, and project management skills the Group delivered the best financial results in the company's history in 2009 despite the economic conditions resulting in a number of projects being deferred or cancelled.

During 2009 we implemented thefollowing initiatives :

CR Zero Harm Campaign Exact Financial System - Thailand CR Asia Pension Scheme Achieved 0 lost time injuries Investment in key management positions to facilitate future growth of the Group Improved reporting systems

Key to the financial performance of the business were the excellent results of CR China, CR Singapore, CR Thailand and CR India.

2010 saw the Group deliver another solid performance from both an operational and financial perspective.

We again were the beneficiaries of strong financial performances in Thailand and India, with other companies in the Group achieving most of the objectives set for them. It was very pleasing to see the excellent results in the delivery of large shutdowns in Thailand and the significant long term contracts secured in Indonesia and Thailand. India successfully completed several Parex projects through the year. Malaysia delivered a successful significant catalyst change out job for ABF in Bintulu whilst Singapore secured the Shell Global contract for another 3 years on an expanded scope of work.

2010 saw the Group achieve the following initiatives :

Complete a 5 year strategic plan which sets the framework to double the size of the business supported by 2016 . Secured the rights to the CR Asia Brand Implemented new structures in Malaysia to grow company significantly Continued to roll out CR Zero Harm Campaign Implemented the offshore market development plan in Thailand Made significant investments in major plant and equipment

The Group moves into 2011 with significant optimism and opportunities to build on our current foundation.

Whilst our safety performance remains strong in 2010 our results have deteriorated from 2009, we incurred 4 lost time injuries and 7 medical treatment injuries across the Group. You will notice the continuing increased focus on safety through the CR Zero Harm campaign throughout 2011.

I strongly urge you all to support the roll out of this campaign, it is the intention of the company to ensure all staff are provided with a safe work place and are not harmed in any way whilst at work. To achieve this we need you all to recognize that safety is everyone's responsibility and that complacency is the greatest risk.The CR Zero Harm campaign is specifically designed to keep safety front of mind, to ensure that we all think safety, first, last and always.

Once again I want to say thank you for your efforts in 2010. Over the coming months we will commenceimplementing the 2016 business plan for the Group positioning the company to double in size by 2016.I look forward to seeing you all throughout the year.

They reckoned that we will be able to get more pigging work in 2011.

The first of 24 new houses to be handedover after Typhoon Ketsana

structural damage. I went out to assess the damage and of course there were more people who did not have damage, but there was wide spread damage to many buildings - a number of which simply disappeared. Since the electric was cut we could not do much work for several days and I decided to see how we can help the people in need. I asked many friends, family and relations to support the cause and we managed to collect around $30,000USD. Together with the TPC Consortium we located the people in dire need of help and supplied them with the materials to rebuild their houses. We have chosen an area where many fishermen live. Here people have not only lost their houses, but many also lost their income because boats had been damaged or lost. After 6 months we made up the balance and we provided building materials for 24 houses and repairs for an additional 2 houses. All this would not have been possible without the help of TPC and CR Asia. I would like to thank Jenny for her endless efforts to help the people and we also had a lot of help from Jean Claude, Francoise and Fabien from TPC and from Tram, Mike and of course from Truyen from CR Asia. On Tuesday the 29 of September 2009, Typhoon Ketsana, after having devastated the Philippines, hit central Vietnam directly on Quang Ngai where the first refinery was being built - and where CR Asia has a site office to support the local operations. I live in a small house/restaurant some 2 kilometers away from there. We have all seen on TV the devastation that a hurricane or a typhoon can cause, but living it is a quite a different thing I can now say by experience. For 24 hours the wind was slowly building up from storm force to a typhoon. We had sustained winds of 170km/h with peak winds of 210km/h. You stay inside where you think it is safe and then all of a sudden in the course of just a few minutes the wind is gone, it has stopped raining and the sky is almost clear. That's when we realized we had entered the eye of the typhoon. We all went in the front garden and in no time we felt the fallen mango tree before the typhoon came back to us. Against all expectations, the typhoon never really came back in force as we expected though. However, the damage was done. While we went out to estimate the damage the first thought that occurred to me was; 'are we really the only ones who do not have damage?' Yes the mango tree had fallen over, but that is not

First Aid at the workplace is of paramount importance. Accidents can happen at any time and any place and the first few minutes can make the difference between life and death. Employers have a duty to provide first aid equipment at all places of work where working conditions require it. CRAS understand the importance of first aid and hence decides to equip its employees with the necessary knowledge to make the difference.

CRAS has organized training on Occupational First Aid & Automated External Defibrillator Course (also known as OFA & AED) with the Academic Centre & Clinic Pte Ltd. There were 2 training sessions planned in December 2010. The first session was scheduled from 6th - 8th Dec 2010 while the second session was scheduled from 13th - 15th Dec 2010. Both training sessions were held in our conference room with 10 employees for each session.

The Occupational First Aid Course is designed to increase awareness of possible accidents, identify accidents with casualties and optimize health and performance at the workplace, whereas AED enables employees to use all the steps in the cardiac chain of survival, thereby significantly increasing the victim's chance of survival.

A project from early 2010 involved Chemical Cleaning in the fog and at 5 C at Pakarab Fertilizer Co., Ltd. in Multan, Pakistan, a city which sees temperatures of 48 C in summer. Adnan, seen on the picture, has his hands deep in his pockets and is happy he can warm his hands on the reverse flow manifold.

Pakarab has a shut-down because of the low gas pressure in as the domestic consumption is high and the low temperatures reduce the gas-pressure. The job is chemical cleaning of a Catacarb re-boiler in the CO2 removal system of the ammonia plant. The re-boiler was polluted with a tough vanadium pentoxide scale.

This must have been CR Asia Singapore's coldest chemical cleaning job ever..!!

The ABF 12 Turnaround exercise was the most important maintenance project for ABF in 2010. It required very detailed and thorough planning to ensure the entire exercise was carried out smoothly to achieve its objectives. CR Asia were awarded 7 various reactors/units based on previous success with safety, quality, budget control and time line completions thus being awarded as preferred catalyst handling contractor for the ABF 12 turnaround.

The plant successfully completed its turnaround from early October to mid November. This was the twelfth turnaround since the ABF plant commenced operation. The Ammonia Plant resumed normal operation in mid November followed by other business units in accordance with the planned schedule. The entire exercise was deemed as a success. For CR Asia

failure. A turnaround is of short duration and high intensity and it can consume the greatest percentage of the yearly process outage days. In view of that, ABF has various Key Performance Indicators in place with regards to Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost for the turnaround exercise. Everyone in CR Asia was aware of the significance of the turnaround exercise and was committed to help ABF & Sumatec achieve the desired objectives. At the peak moment in the 12 Turnaround, there were approx. 4,000 contract workers on site to carry out various jobs and their safety became ABF's top priority. In order to manage that they implemented a turnaround HSE Plan which covered all aspects of safety to ensure all of them work safely. Although the turnaround is an expensive exercise, it eventually benefits the customers by increasing plant reliability to run at Maximum Asset Capability (MAC), thus enabling ABF to continuously supply quality products as demanded by customers. CR Asia is proud to be a part of this.

Pre job "Tool Box Talks" and Hazard Analysis & Identification procedures are two key issues here. These both need to be carried out regularly and with serious intent.

Last year was a mixed bag across the group as far as safety results went with some magnificent achievements being made and a few low points.

CRAM's ABF Bintulu shut down was probably one of the most notable success stories with a total of 21758 man hours worked with 0 HSE violations or incidents. 20 site safety audits and 50 tool box talks were carried out. Well done to the CRAM team. There have been other encouraging safety performances around the group throughout all of 2010 and well done to all of you for a great effort. It is my personal goal to endeavour to steer our group towards our permanent target of "Zero Harm" throughout 2011.

Please remember that happiness starts with safety!!

The CRAT safety team are starting 2011 off with a strong safety campaign"2011, The Year of Safety" which is leading into their first large project for the year,PTTAR#1 maintenance T&I starting Feb 1 .st

To encourage all of our staff to re think & improve their attitudes to safety. To introduce & standardise a more intense & higher quality of incident & injury prevention methods including a thorough Hazard Identification and analysis procedure. Most importantly, to create a safe, zero harm working environment for all.

It seems that most of us are back into work mode now and preparing for a very busy start to the year with some big projects due to kick off very soon. I would like to urge everyone to be extra vigilant and cautious during these projects when sometimes pressure created from scheduling and cost overrun creeps in and safety can tend to take a back seat. This is when we all need to be extra careful and pay extra attention to all aspects of safety. This is everyone's responsibility and especially our supervision and management teams to guide and educate our large temporary work forces, some of

The CR Asia Group's "Zero Harm" safety campaign was developed and introduced to the group's management team in late 2009. The main objectives of the campaign were designed to achieve an LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate) of 0 and a MTIFR (Medical Treatment Injury Frequency Rate) of <2 across the Asian Region.

Other principle aims of this campaign are; To unite the group's individual companies & areas of operations in to a single line of thought to safety. To inject some new enthusiasm into everyone at all levels in the CR-Asia Group. To encourage company GM's to actively participate in safety awareness and be proactive in the education and awareness of their staff.

Mr Ragavan joined CR Asia onthe 1st Dec 2010 as HSEQ Officer.His career life evolves 14 years outof which he has served the marineindustry for 12 years. He hasprogressed from an electrical engineerto a Safety training consultant duringhis tenure in the marine industry. Priorto his employment with CR Asia, hehas worked in the healthcare industry for 2 years. His experience includes managing a 6000 staffed hospital single handedly as an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer.

He has acquired a Masters Education in Leadership Management from RMIT University and BSc in Environmental Health and Safety with Curtin University. He is a certified Nuclear, Biological & Chemical Defence instructor from the Royal New Zealand Navy. He is a registered Fire Safety Manager, a registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer, a registered Environment Control Officer, a certified Confined Space Assessor and a certified trainer with the relevant regulatory bodies in Singapore.

My name is Tint Zaw, 35 yeas oldand I'm from Myanmar. My first job herein Singapore was a technician in WingWah from 2008 to 2010. Wing Wah isan industrial servicing companyspecialized in overhauling rotatingequipment, like pumps, blowers, etc.My job responsibilities were overhaulingand installation of pump, pump/bloweralignment using dial gauge or laser, internal installation of column and reactor. My highest education is Diploma in Mechanical Power Engineering (1995 to 1999). My hobbies are swimming and reading.

I joined CR Asia Singapore on the 1st of Nov 2010 as DDT Technician. My role is to assist in all maintenance work on the pigging machine and double up as pigging operator. My long term goals involve growing with the company where I can and continue to learn and willing to take up any additional responsibilities if asked to by management. My plan is to enhance my skills and containing my involvement with all CR related projects and give my best contribution to the company.

in Singapore was in Wing Wah,which is an industrial servicing company specialised in rotating equipment. I worked in that company for 2 years as QC Technician. After this, I applied and was hired here in CR Asia Singapore since last July 15, 2010 as Maintenance Technician in DDT Division. My duties are doing maintenance for the machines, as well as DDT pigging operator. In this new work place, I met a team of nice and friendly people who are unselfishly sharing their experiences and skills in this pigging trading. It is my desire to learn and be specialised in doing pigging and share the skills I've learned from my past job to my present colleagues as well.

Miss Thasinee Nuntakasikorn (Khun Fat) joined CR Asia on March 15, 2010 as Group Business Analyst based in the regional office in Bangkok. She has been working in accounting field for the past 14 years and has previously worked in international companies such as; Esso (Thailand) PCL, DiethelmTrading, CFS Asia Ltd. She gained regional and international accounting experience. Welcome Thasinee to the CR Asia Group.

Hi, everyone in CR Asia, I am Sua Jin Wee, a Malaysian staying in Thailand for the past 9 years. Prior to moving to Thailand, I stayed and worked in Singapore for 13 years in a watch company as Analyst Programmer then as IT Manager in an Automotive Part Manufacturer. Sukanlaya Thapwong has taken on the role as Group Accountant for CRAG (Thailand). Working directly for Mr.Charles Baak (Finance Director). She has an experience in Accounting and has over 9 years experience with multinational companies, such as, PWC, Kenan Foundation Asia, Mars Inc., CornProducts (Amadass) Co.,Ltd., Marsh PB., Co., Ltd. She was born in Nakornratchasima Province (Korat) and she's 34 years old and has one son (2 years). She used to worked with Marsh PB Co., Ltd. (Broker assurance business) over 3 years as

an Assistance Accounting Manager prior to joining with CRAG Thailand in November 2010.She's sincere, a good team player, and looking forward to a great challenge with CRAG.

Stephen Moss joined CR Asia Thailand as Business Development Manager in December, 2009. He has previously worked as a Project Director for AMEC Power & Process in Europe. Aged 51 and with 6 children he is pleased to join CR Asia and says "a great, family feeling company to work for. Definitely going places and with many quality people making it happen".

Sakol Saksri was appointedas Waste Handling Division Manager for CR Asia Thailandin November, 2010. His previous experience includes; Manager (various management roles in SCG - Group such as SCG Chemicals, Siam Mitsui PTA, MFC, TPE etc.) He is 42 years old and is married with 2 children

and his favourite sport is golf. He holds a Certificate in Construction-Chemical Engineering, KMIT, Thonburi, 2001 and Diploma in Machine Mechanics, KMIT, North Bangkok, 1986. "I am impressed with CRAT as a familiar company to work for and I am very proud with my role responsible for Waste Handling Division".

Welcome to all readers of the latest edition of CR Asia News. It has been a while since we last produced our company newsletter so it was time to give it a fresh new look - I hope you like the changes.

As this is the first newsletter for about 2 years we decided to use this opportunity to close out 2010 and also briefly review 2009 to provide an update of some of the projects we have been involved in, introduce new personnel, and other items of general interest. We intend to produce two newsletters each year from now which will be around March and November.

We have included some of the new people who have joined CR Asia over the past year or so. Apologies to those who have not been mentioned but all details that were forwarded to me were included.

2011 is already proving to be a busy year with a number of shutdowns and projects already started and/or completed - and a very healthy order book looking ahead. We will feature more of this in the next newsletter.

CRAM UPDATE A significant management change that occurred in October 2010 was the semi-retirement of Mr. Abu Yazid Bin Idris as Senior General Manager of our Malaysian business unit.

Abu was the founding member of CR Asia Malaysia (as it is now known) and has helped to build the business over the past ten years. He has decided to move into more of a part-time consultancy role to allow a new management team to take the business through the next exciting period of growth in Malaysia.

Jelmer Bolt has taken over the reins and is now the General Manager for both the Malaysia and Singapore companies.

The Management would like to thank Abu for his contribution over the last 10 years or so and wish him well in his new role and hope that he enjoys spending more time with his family. And of course, very best wishes to Jelmer for taking on the role and the challenges ahead.
