Dear abhayans! Greetings and good day!!

It is a great privilege to share my thoughts through this signature page with you all… I

got connected to abhaya since 2011 through a pilgrimage organized by abhaya

TEAM, but it transformed me tremendously in all walks of life due to the insights

gained throughout the travel with the Founder. abhaya Foundation is serving with

comprehensive scope of H.E.A.R.T. (Healthcare, Educare, Awareness, Rural

Development & Transformation).

The Founder, CS Balachandra Sunku (Born abhayan... loving abhayan... cheerful

abhayan, never diluted river abhaya...Serving, Uniting, Nationalizing, Keeping,

Universalizing society) founded abhaya with a Mission to serve with HEART for

H.E.A.R.T. Hats off to his determination and dedication of his life for the society.

I understand, the activities of 'abhaya foundation' are very ideal to every corporate,

NGOs etc in the country in many aspects. Anyone who associate with abhaya will

certainly feel proud and broaden their scope of H.E.A.R.T in the process of serving the

needy as abhaya philosophy is all about transforming oneself in the good work.

abhaya Foundation has initiated 'abhaya Home of Happiness'... very unique project

and one of its kind. I felt immensely happy to instantaneously declare my hearty

support for the Project. I am further happy of myself being associated with this

project since beginning. I wish abhaya Home will soon become the 'University of

Service' in the days to come giving light and life to the countrymen.

All of us at abhaya believes that 'serving mankind is serving God'... but the issue for

all common men around is all about putting it in practice in daily life! If everyone

understand the importance of practice, the life will become light full. There are many

singers but very few like 'Annamayya' reach the heart of God. Likewise, most of us

pray God but very few does Godly work and reach God. I can surely say that... abhaya

is one such trust which would have loved by GOD as there are innumerable divine

experiences in and around abhaya.

No doubt, giving back to the society is ultimate. Great people like Warren Buffett,

Billgates, etc. did not achieve the goal with top billionaire position in the world but

really they achieved the goal by giving back to the society. I believe the concept of

'act small is better than think big'. Let us do something good to the society instead of

saying so much. Stating so... I appeal each one to associate with good work

happening in their own way as the satisfaction we generate from serving is

something very divine...

Kitchen Gardens at abhaya Home: The good work done by Sri T Rawiindra in

setting up the Vegitable Garden is reaping the results in just 40 days. Sri

Damayan Reddy and his Lotus Team spent lot of value time for developing the

land for the kitchen gardens since last 2 months. They gave good training to

inmates of abhaya. Ramarao & Ramanna are now taking care of gardens with

best possible love for the plants. Now there are at least 20 Varieties of

vegetables, leafy Vegetable, creepers etc., were growing. Barring couple of

vegetables, most of the times abhaya home using the internally produced

vegetables for their daily consumption. As at present there are only 8 members

living over there, the care taker Kusuma was instructed to gift the excess

vegetables to the visitors to the home whenever possible... there by making them to feel the importance of giving back to the society.

It was almost 5 months back, abhaya Home was dedicated for the country on 1st September 2013.

Slowly the required ambiance is being created with the support of so many kind hearted abhayans.

Gandhi Garden at abhaya Home: The team felt that the vacant space within the

buildings can be made use for land scaping and gardening. Accordingly Sri T. Rawiindra,

the Chief Architect with the support of Sri Ashok Vardhan Reddy working on the

proposal. 50% of the work being done during February'14. The black stone provided by

Sri A Mohan Gupta was used in setting up the garden. Flower Plants along with trees like

Neem, Mango, Amla, Peepal, Chiku etc., were planted across the campus wherever

possible. Good work done by the gardening team. Slowly life is coming out from them.

Marigold flowers reaped all over the campus... and it became difficult for the inmates to

cut them... hence they are being advised to sell them off once in a while during festival

seasons in the market.

Inmates: Ramadevi (65) who was not cared by her

son was living in a special room for the past 3

months, got reunion with her Son. He personally

came and given undertaking that he will take care of

his mother and taken away to Vijayawada. Radhika

who is Mentally not well was admitted in

Rajyalakhsmi Hospital about 2 months back was

recovering well under the care of Dr Sulapani and

his team due to timely administration of medicine

dose. She is looking good and abhaya hopeful of she

becoming normal soon. Kusuma Kumari who met

with an accident and brought in to the home about 5

months back gained lots of confidence and taking

care of entire campus in wheel chair. Her hip replacement is now on cards in consultation with her wellwishers & Dr Sulapani in

next couple of months. Ramarao's wife also joined with him as care taker. Jilanee & Chandbee taking care of housekeeping.

Present Operational expenses: Considering Fixed and variable costs for all the inmates/staff,

approximately Rs. 40,000/- being spent every month. More the number of inmates/destitute, more is

the amount needed. Right now required rice is being arranged by Sri Gudipati Srinivas (Maharshi Rice

Mills) Miryalaguda. Plan is to pool the rice bags in rice collection drive at Miryalaguda.

Present Status of Payables: Sri Janardhana Rao with the support of various well wishers completed the herculean task of civil

works in a record time of 9 months. abhaya yet to settle many bills amounting to Rs.20lakhs to various suppliers of material, men,

machinery etc.,

Present Activities: There were series of volunteer meetings/visits happening throughout February'14 post

abhaya 5K Run, due to which additional expenses were spent for arranging transportation, food, snacks etc.,

for them. There are about 50 volunteers visited home in the last month. 5 meetings and 1 work shop were

conducted to provide leadership for the volunteers. There were about 15 volunteers now working on High

School Students while propagating the values/ philosophy of abhaya. The special focus on this activity being

covered elsewhere in the news letter.

APPEAL: The plan is that, full-fledged operations can be initiated on settling the huge bill for

various suppliers and hence abhaya appeal each one of abhaya well wishers to kindly consider

giving their helping hands either in cash and kind enabling the team to move ahead. We are very

confident of making abhaya Home as center of human excellence in Serving the most needy.

SBI Branches.

Thereafter, abhaya well wishers CS G Narender & his partner Sri Sarathchand, Corporate Finance

Consultants in Hyderabad lead the proposal from Branch level to HO. Jubilee Hills Branch Manager Sri

Prasad, Sri Kumar from SBI Zonal Office, Sri Raju from SBI LHO and many others did their best in

moving the proposal to next level. abhaya received communication from SBI LHO stating that the

Ambualance got sanctioned to abhaya Home. Today it is a reality. Salutations to the thy feet of GODs

who silently worked through many SoulDears.

One of the primary objectives of abhaya Home of Happiness is empowering the youth.

abhaya organized its 1st 'Youth Empowerment Workshop' at abhaya Home on 20th

February'14 which was attended by about 25 young and promising engineering/

graduate students. Going by the great statement that knowledge always increases by

sharing; these 25 students are planning to visit about 15 high schools in and around

Ibrahimpatnam to prepare the students for their final exams.

A fantastic day altogether with 25 young n promising

engineering students attending 1st Youth Empowerment

Workshop at abhaya Home. These youngsters planning to visit

10 high schools in and around IBP in next 15 days to make them

to get ready for final exams. Then culminating them with

abhaya success test for all high school kids. Very positive all the

volunteers. Thanks to Ramesh, Dileep, Neha, Raju the team

leaders for their effort behind the screen.

As inspecting heartily greetedauthorities visited the school, the principal was busy and asked and cheered bythem to come some other day. But they decline to leave the students and teaching staff. As the event was the first program,premises without meeting the principal and they said that they few abhayans were tensed though they prepared well. Interacting with students taught us a lot!!!

My first motivational speech in life:

I am Neha Rao studying Final B.Tech, RVR Institute OfEngineering & Technology got to know about abhaya Homethrough abhaya 5K run and along with our friends Aparna,Adithya, Vijay, Tejaswi attended the run. It was all beautifulatmosphere in and around Home. I was gifted with beautifulopportunity of planting a tree. I felt amazing doing that. Itunknowingly planted responsibility in me. In the end of theprogram enrolled our names as volunteers.

Later on volunteers were to meet in Masab Tank but most of the volunteers who gave their nameswere not able to attend. So, it was again planned at abhaya Home of Happiness. Volunteers fromIbrahimpatnam colleges attended the meet and the Founder explained us about activities ofabhaya Foundation and Home Of Happiness and were planning to have volunteers meet at AbhayaHome of Happiness every week so that we will have connectivity to Home and decided to meet every monday in the morning.

As decided we met on 3rd Feb and had look allover home. We the volunteers brought vegetablesfrom Home where Destitute stay. It is all reverse happened which is made possible throughabhaya Home. Later on we had a group discussion on the concept 'Creating Young INDIA forStrong INDIA' and prepared an action plan. As per our Action Plan Volunteers started working on schools and colleges in and around Ibrahimpatnam and used to meet every week as decided and had a workshop on 'LEADERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY WORK'with concept of TEAM- Together Everyone Achieve Miracles. Workshop was all the way too different and made involve each andevery participant in the workshop also found solution for many real time problems usually School children face. Experience wasImpact making.

It was on Monday, the 24th February'14 we all visited 300 students at Govt., ZPH School, Cherlapatelguda and APSWR College forGirls, Ibrahimpatnam. We had completely different experience there. Interacting with students taught us a lot. In the process ofvolunteering we are getting a sweet opportunity of transforming our self. abhaya has done extraordinary work on 24th Feb'14. Founder along with 12energetic volunteers visited the Govt., ZPH School, Patelguda for motivatingthe students. We have carefully listed about 40 issues that are being faced byeach of the student community in studies, exams, education, life etc., atdifferent parts of the country. Founder very passionately cleared all the issuesand reduced their fear on exams and study. He has given many tips andtechniques for their benefit. He entered in their hearts more than minds withhis inspiring interaction. All the students and teachers were enjoyed. Theylearned so many things and they were all charged up from his talk and I thinkthey never forget the event and the day in their life.

After concluding the morning session, the team visited APSWR

College for Girls... this time without founder as he has to leave

the Village in an emergency call at Hyderabad. All the volunteers

were tensed a bit. But at the end of the event, all the volunteers

were so happy and very confident as it was happily handled by

couple of us without any difficulty giving joy and happiness to

students. I had an opportunity to motivate the students

"Success Unlimited" and Neha and Naveen Reddy interacted

with them on "Goal Setting". Yet again I had an opportunity to

speak on "Study Techniques". all the students were enjoyed and

inspired by the same... in fact this is my first motivational speech

We are delighted to report that the cause and importance of our very dear project “Hunt

the Winter” has spread far and wide. This year we have more and more brethren willing to

contribute their bit for helping the destitute across the country with winter blankets.

abhaya could reach out more than 1200 gods on roads across the country wherever there

are abhayans.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. B. Ramaya who could kindly motivate 100s of employees of

CSC, India across all locations to donate funds. In just six days time CSC team could pool

over Rs. 1.4 lakhs. This gesture is real example of TEAM Work. Yet again GOD willed in this

way and about 500 blankets were dispatched to support the needy at Chennai (as

identified by CSC Team) and Arunachal Pradesh for serving the most needy people who are

living in severe cold conditions in the hilly regions over there through RK Math, Narotham

Nagar. abhaya expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the entire CSC team and other abhayans to make this project a great success

and couple of weeks back she was discharged for gaining strength for taking operation. Now I am facing with severe financial

He suggested to admit her at Apollo Jubilee Hills fora surgery in her ear. abhaya Founder put in a word to him,who kindly provided concessional charges in the firstinstance and there after she was operated without any feeconsidering the back ground and abhaya's word. Theestimated cost of operation was about Rs.40,000/-. abhayatake this opportunity to thank Dr Rambabu and his team atApollo for doing such miraculous work. We wish her all thebest. Mission KhyathiMission Shirisha & DivyaWith regular physiotherapy sessions at Sweekar, our

special children are progressing towards normalcy. We

know that this is not a quick mission, but with the consistent

efforts, making some small progress every month.

Whenever the elder kid Sirisha speaks to abhaya, it gives a

feel of satisfacton and makes us happy. Its been three years

since we started this mission and their association is just

magical. We hope that both the girls will be normal in

sooner time.

I visited Master Mukesh in the rehabilitation centre at Bhadrak, Odisha on

25/02/2014. Seeing him walking without walker, I got immense pleasure as

against he was laying on the floor 7 months back. This became possible with

the prayers and blessing of the well wishers .I was in tears with happiness

while talking to doctor. The child is not able to sit on the floor like sitting on

Indian toilet which also will come after gaining full muscle power as the doctor

is confident. I requested doctor to do something and discharge him at the end

of May'14 so that child can pursue his studies in the comming session as

already he has lost two accademic years. Both Mechanical and Manual

Physiotherapy is going on. I paid Rs.1000/- in cash to the child during my

visit. Rs.3000/- have been pooled in this month and cash. Necessary

arrangement may please be made to deposit Rs.10000/- in child's account

given below to meet the expenditure for Jan'14 in rehabilitation Centre at

we thought of conducting a program in our locality at Balanagar

Industrial Area regarding career opportunities and development. In

Khammam... abhaya Founder along with 3 volunteers visited Sarada Engineering Students and

Sarada High School Kids. Founder interacted with about 400 high schools kids for couple of hours on

"How to be Sucessfull in Life". He was talking so closely to students thereby within minutes of he

started speaking, it was very evident from their faces that they were feelinng like Founder is their

uncle, friend and very close person. So all the students were connected. The Founder has given

simple words and connected them to the THEME.

During afternoon session abhaya TEAM spoke on "YOUNG INDIA - FOR STRONG INDIA" to about 300 Engineering students. There was

a elocution competition conducted by abhaya by Colleges. All the best people were asked to share their thoughts during the meeting.

The 1st 3 best people were given cash/ silver medals from abhaya. Founder thereafter motivated the college students with his

We were being invited to address the engineering students and beneficiaries on "HOW TO STUDY WELL FOR EXAMS IN LIFE". we

started journey night before day of the event in a car and discussed lot of things during the journey. Sri Meda Narasimhulu,

Founder, Meda Charities advised the team to visit the old age home where he established it with the blessings of Baba and asked

us to spend some time with inmates of home. We reached "Sri

Sathya Sai Vridha Janodharana Home",Anantapur at 2:30AM.

We slept for couple of hours at home and we got fresh up in the

morning. When all the inmates gathered at Dining Hall for the

breakfast, Founder addressed the old people on their abilities

and how should they live in their rest of life. He asked them what

is the breakfast? they said UPMA, then he instantaneously

picked up UPMA as subject matter of discussion and spoke on

UPMA (Unity, Purity, Manners & Adhyathmikatha) Vedaantam.

It was a wonderful food for their thought, I think.

There after we all reached Katta Business Center for scheduled program of abhaya to create awareness on "COMMUNITY

WORK". we have taken care of necessary arrangements for the event. because we needed projector. Meda narsimhulu and

some of the charity members has reached on the event place. Founder has given speech to the engineering students on

"COMMUNTIY WORK". CS Thirupal G, Board Trustee of abhaya from Bangalore along with his 5 members team took part in

the event and abhaya Supported MBBS Student K Sailatha was the special attraction along with little kids and teachers

from abhaya Vignan School at the meeting. All those who present in the meeting got inspired with the deliberations. Sri

Haranatha Reddy, Retd RTO was special visitor for the event and he listening to Founder got motivated and declared

I actually connected to abhaya when joined the Founder on his way to Anantapur. Though I had very little

knowledge of abhaya till that time, I am totally wonderstruck by seeing the videos of abhaya foundation at

Anantapur along with hundreds of other students. it was really heart touching situation seeing the

transfomration of scores of beneficiaries of abhaya who received help from abhaya. I too learned how to do a

work perfectly in life. As a student I can't provide financial support to abhaya but I will spend my Sundays for

abhaya - Sidhanthi Naga Nayan, I B.Tech, Malla Reddy Engineering College, Hyderabad

supported their family by providing long

term solution in the form of abhaya Aathma

Vsiwasam General Stores in the year 2011.

Since then, though all of them are facing

multiple health issues... the smile on their

faces never faded. abhaya could have spent

close to Rs. 2,00,000/- on them in cash and kind since last 3 years. Though, they are

being called to stay at abhaya Home... they gently said that till the last minute...

they will try to lead their life on their own. Their passion to live is very inspiring... is it
