Successful Completion of RAWE Camp

RAWE (Rural awareness work experience) programme for BSc HSc final year students was organized in Bhilwada village of Badgaon panchayat samiti of Udaipur district from 4th January to 24th January 2017 under the guidance of Prof Shashi Jain, Dean, College of Home Science Udaipur. A committee of six members consisted of Dr. Rajshree Upadhyay, Coordinator & Head, Dept. of HECM, Dr. Neeta Lodha, Head, Deptt. of FRM, Dr.Sudha Babel, Head, Dept. of TAD, Dr.Renu Mogra, Head, Dept. of FN, Dr Dhriti Solanki, Prof, Dept. of HECM and Dr.Renu dhakar, Head, Dept of HDFS.

Intensive environment building in the village was carried out by the students by taking out a rally, chanting of slogans, transect walk, door to door contact and group meeting for creating awareness about the programme. The need based programme included interactive sessions/ lecturettes/ demonstration/role play etc. on topics drudgery reduction, tools for agriculture, flower making, tie and dye, block printing, protective farm clothing, surf making, safe drinking water, grain storage, improved composting of dung, improved animal feed, balanced diet, diet during diseases, nutritious recipes, developmental activities for ECCD, etc.
