Hello and Welcome! Newlands will be hosting our next open day on Sunday 5th August 2018 at 2 - 4:30pm. We will be having some fun in the sun with games, stalls and afternoon tea. We look forward to our regular visits “Natter jacks” The children from Ashfield Infant school who interact with our residents every Thursday morning.

Fairy Garden Project Our Fairy & Woodland gardens are now complete, we raised £163 on the raffle.

Specialized Chair We have recently purchased a mobility chair to use on outing for our residents

who are no longer able to use a wheelchair.

By the Carnegie around the corner a kiss and a

squeeze in some dark corner

All ‘toffed’ up looking fine in our finest clothes watching boys pass by

A smile and a wink a soft hello and a new affair

may be on the go

Through Workington bus station take a peep down Murray Road to eye the meat

By the post office walking proud hoping to find a boy to ground

Innocent fun yet who can boast that on the

‘Monkey Walk’ they found there host

A beating heart, a kiss – a blush they hurray off to catch t’last bus

Birthday or party Happy birthday to all our summer born residents and staff. A special Happy Birthday to Resident Marjorie I who will be 80 on the 29th August. Special Birthday Wishes also to the staff :-Lyndsey T who will be 30 on 22nd July, Tom G who will be 70 on 23rd August and Margaret D who will be 75 on 26th August.

Summer party 05th August 2018 Newlands will be hosting a summer garden party with games and various stalls, there also is a cream tea afternoon. Charged at £2.50 pp
