The early Summer Water Test is scheduled atFolsom Lake on July 22-23, 2017. Hopefully thedebris in the lake will be removed by then. Each daywill have a WD/WRD test, and Saturday will alsoinclude WRDX. Again, check the website or theNewfs Paper for updates. Also, please contact LynneBaker (Chair) if you want to help, or contact DawnDruge (Chief Steward) if you are interested instewarding.

So far, water training has been very limited due tothe debris in Folsom Lake and worries about bluegreen algae at Lake Del Valle. (So far, toxins fromthe algae are reported to be very low at Del Valleand people have been allowed to swim. However,Park management has not given us approval fortraining sessions with the dogs.) For updatedinformation on Folsom Lake training, contact CathySayer. For updated information on Lake Del Valletraining, contact John Pearson.

Also in June, please mark your calendars for theAnnual NCNC Picnic on Saturday, June 24, 2017,at the San Leandro Marina Park. We have used thispark very successfully several times now. Being righton the bay, the weather has been great! We will be atthe larger Sea Gull area this year, so there will belots of room for delicious BBQ food & drink, socializing, and various Newfy games and activitiesincluding a Rescue Parade and Rally course.

Attention volunteers!

The 2017 NCNC Regional Specialty is fast approaching and I need assistance, please!

I have several committees with volunteers already slated, but there a few I'mstill seeking help with.

While applying or reapplying for membership, several NCNC members haveindicated they would be available to help.

Before our Annual Picnic and Board/General meetings on June 24th, I will becreating a list of unseated committees and having an email blast sent out for

feedback.

In the meantime, please think about what you'd most like to contribute of yourexperience, skill, and most rewarding activities. Your talent could be the

difference that makes this year's Regional your most memorable.

Thank you for your consideration and spirit.
