Introduction• Herb Tannenbaum, PhD, serves as Executive Director of the Center

for Effective Living and practices as a psychotherapist in the New York City and New Jersey area. When he is not helping clients with a wide range of issues, Dr. Herb Tannenbaum, a PhD graduate of New York University, enjoys watching professional sports teams, including the New York Giants of the NFL.

The New York Giants are committed to supporting their community, hosting four game-day drives every season, listed below, that gather a variety of items for individuals in need.

1. Food drive: in support of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, the New York Giants request that attendees of one game in during the season bring non-perishable and canned food items. Any donations are collected by the stadium entrance by FoodBank volunteers and trucks.

school supplies, Stuff the Bus invites fans to bring backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other supplies with them to Giants games. The donated items are sent to Tools 4 Schools and distributed to children in need.

3. Toys for Tots: around the holidays, new, unwrapped toys are requested for donation to Toys for Tots. Volunteers and collection vehicles are located at all stadium entrance and off-site for easy donation. Uniformed Marine Corps Reserves are also on hand to help with gift collection.

4. Coat drive: typically held once the weather starts cooling down, the Giants’ coat drive asks for gently worn coats to help residents of New York City stay warm. Collected coats are donated to and distributed by New York Cares.
