Summers’ Variable-Rate Tillage technology offers the ability to shift weight between the

front and rear blades to adapt to changing field conditions on the go. The result is a simple,

practical design that provides maximum tillage versatility to better meet the demands of

North American farming practices.

New Variable-Rate Tillage

Model VRT2530 features dual-mounted front

disk blades and rear coulter blades. Designed for

minimum- to medium-duty tillage, the VRT2530

provides superior field finish at depths of 2 to 3-1/2

inches. The front-gang of angled low-concave disk

blades provides light soil movement, whereas the

rear coulter gang delivers the benefits of true vertical

tillage for residue management and soil fracturing.

Tillage aggressiveness can be customized by easily

adjusting the pitch of the machine, either placing more

weight on the front or rear blades.

Model VRT3530 offers dual-mounted angled

low-concave disk blades in both the front and

rear, making it the ideal high-speed tillage tool for

achieving greater soil movement and deeper cutting

depths. Adjusting the pitch to push either the front or

rear blades further into the soil allows the machine

to cater to varying field conditions, and results in an

excellent field finish, even when cutting heavy residue

at depths up to 6 inches or greater. Soil movement

and cutting approach can be further modified by

adjusting the angle of the front and/or rear blades.

Mounted Harrow/Hydraulic Basket ComboThe MH1104 mounted harrows effectively distribute residue and level the soil. These are used in conjunction with rolling baskets with patent-pending internal mud scrapers to prevent mud build-up. The baskets come with adjustable hydraulic down pressure, which automatically adjusts to maintain the proper setting as the position of the hydraulic hitch changes. The baskets may also be lifted completely off the ground if not needed for certain applications.

22" Dual-Mounted Disk BladesDisk blades are slightly concave for soil mixing, and are mounted at a 12-degree angle (manually adjustable from 5°-24°) to achieve the perfect combination of high speed and aggressive mixing. This configuration also keeps soil movement as vertical as possible to minimize the smearing and hardpan effects of soil moving horizontally.

Similar to high-speed disks on the market, the VRT2530 and VRT3530 offer powerful tillage performance at fast operating speeds. The tool works best at 7-10 miles per hour (11-15 kph), helping complete spring and fall tillage faster. 7-10 mph

Hydraulic HitchThe patented hydraulic hitch allows the operator to transfer weight between the front and rear of the machine on the go. Placing more weight on the front or rear blades during operation helps one accommodate to differing field conditions and to achieve the most preferable field finish for each unique operation.

Rear Coulter Blades (VRT2530 Only)The rear gang-mounted coulter blades run at a zero degree angle for true vertical tillage. They’re designed to size residue and slice through the soil to fracture compacted layers and promote deep root growth.

Hydraulic Wing PressureInstead of using weights on the wings, the VRT2530 and VRT3530 use hydraulic down pressure. This feature automatically adjusts down pressure on the wings to ensure consistent cutting depth across the implement as field conditions change.
