On 21st February 2015, SIBER- MBA Department has organized an Alumni meet in order to meet the successful

alumni who have been passed out from this prestigious institute. The main objective of organizing the alumni meet is

to strengthen further the bond between the institute and the alumni.

Objectives:-

The main objectives of the alumni meet were:

To establish a single, secure database of all the alumni of the Institute and members of the association to help people connect with each other.

To encourage the Alumni to take an active interest and participate in the work and progress of the Institute so as to contribute towards enhancement of the social utility of their Alma Mater.

To establish, maintain, control and manage Chapters of the Association in India and Abroad as a means to increase participation of Alumni.

To help the alumni with their technical problems through involvement (voluntary or otherwise) of other alumni and faculty of the institute.

To organize and establish scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving students.

To institute prizes and awards for outstanding project work, research papers or other professional activity by the students of the Institute.

To recognize outstanding social and community service by the Alumni and the students.

To accept grants or money, equipment, land, buildings, donations, gifts, subscriptions and other assistance with a view to promote and further the objectives of the Association.

To acquire, purchase or otherwise own, or take on lease or hire any movable or immovable property temporarily or permanently necessary or convenient for the furtherance of the objectives of the Association.

To invest and deal with the funds and moneys of the Association.

To print, publish and circulate articles, newsletters, journals, bulletins, pamphlets, posters, that the Association deems fit/desirable for promotion and furtherance of its objectives.

To help the Institute in building SIBER brand.

Support from Alumni in providing better wholesome education to students.

To enrich SIBER with their experience in Professional career with regard to development of curriculum etc.

Mission:

To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the Alumni and the present students of the Institute and between the Alumni themselves.

To encourage, promote and facilitate education, research and other activities of the Institute.

To do all such other lawful things as are conductive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives and/or beneficial to the interests of the Institute and its Alumni.

The CSIBER- Alumni Association has organized its 3rd alumni meet on 21st February 2015. The news was flashed on

many social sites and the event was created inviting the alumni back home. In spite of the declaration of the date of

the meet quite late, the news spread far and wide. The invitations were sent through the personal emails of the alumni

nearly about 600, but because of the professional

commitments of the alumni, the turnout is around

10members only in the alumni meet. The alumni

who attended were from the batches like 1997-99

to 2010-12. Some of them registered for life time

membership of Alumni Association. It was a

great pleasure to know about their

accomplishments in professional lives. Most of

them were visiting their Alma Mater for the first

time since their graduation, and naturally were thrilled to be back in the campus again. They proudly walked around

the campus and recalled the places where they lived and spent time. They were literally glued to the campus recalling

their past days which have led to the bright future.

The alumni meet was inaugurated with auspicious lighting the lamp and the dignitaries presented for the occasion are Dr. M. M. Ali, Director, Dr. V.M. Hilage, Academic Advisor, CSIBER, Mr. Somraj Deshmukh, Member, CSIBER Alumni Association, Mr. Ravi Raj Patil, Member, CSIBER Alumni Association, and all the staff members of MBA Department and students. Addressing the inaugural function worthy Director, Prof. Dr. M.M. Ali said that, Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the institution and a very vibrant relationship must be established and nurtured. Speaking on the occasion, the director underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni in all walks/spheres of life. He felt that it was matter of great pride for CSIBER that, its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various Government organizations, private sector. Many of them are successful entrepreneurs providing jobs to others as well. He praised their contribution towards the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and current students. Dr. M.M.Ali, welcomed the alumni in the campus and appreciated their zeal to assemble here despite their busy schedule. He invited the alumni for strengthening the alumni network by contributing in their areas of interest for the development of SIBER.

Dr. V. M. Hilage, Acadamic Advisor, has invited the alumni shared his experiences and expressed his loveful blessings for their future endeavors.

The Member of Alumni Association, Mr. Somraj Deshmukh, has highlighted the achievements of alumni and called for greater Alumni Participation. He presented the report of the activities undertaken by the association since last Alumni Meet which was organized in Feb 2012. He also outlined many future activities to be taken up by the Association.

The vote of the thanks was proposed by Mr. Ravi Raj Patil, Member, Alumni Association.

Department Wise Visit and Interaction with Faculty And Current Students

In the post lunch session, the alumni visited the campus, class rooms and the computer lab facilities. The faculties of the department took them around the various laboratories and other departmental facilities and presented the recent progress and activities. After the presentation, discussion on the future developments ensued and alumni came up with many suggestions regarding the syllabus of courses, laboratory development etc. They also offered their services in the growth of Department. They interacted with their teachers, staff and students. Each of them shared many old memories. During the interaction with the present batch students, few of the alumni had expressed their opinions like their campus experiences, the influence of the campus on their career achievements, and their personality development. They inspired the present batch students with their entrepreneurial experiences and expressed their wish to the passing out students to become entrepreneurs.

The discussions were also held on various possibilities of interaction between institute and alumnus for mutual benefits. The alumni members appreciated the developments in the various departments. During their conversations with the present student they gave information of their own organization and current status of various industries. Discussion was also made regarding placement, syllabus up gradation, Industry Institute interaction. The alumni members gave assurance to the management and the higher authority for the alumni meet was arranged their co-operation in the development of the department. They agreed to visit the Institute for curriculum development, visiting lectures in expertise field, examiners for the theory and practical, R & D work and Industry Institute Interaction scheme.

The annual general house witnessed active involvement of the alumnus, and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals came up, some of which were approved and the rest were set aside for later action. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current CSIBER students and alumni for their support to current students in the area of training, placement, career counseling and any other help.Many of the Alumni expressed their willingness to help CSIBER in training, placement, development of modern laboratories, delivery of expert lectures in emerging areas of technology.

Thus a very special Saturday came to an end providing us much more than any other Saturday has ever provided. A feeling of togetherness that, we have a family outside of our family, a feeling of security that there are people always there for you whenever you need them, a feeling of proud when you see your juniors making you as their role models. A feeling of satisfaction that is unmatched with any other feeling in this world.

I would end here by thanking again all of our alumni who contributed to that special Saturday. We are hoping to witness more and more of these Saturdays in future.
