Bolin Ford 50th Anniversary Mustang Show ‘n Shine CelebrationBolin Ford 50th Anniversary Mustang Show ‘n Shine CelebrationBolin Ford 50th Anniversary Mustang Show ‘n Shine CelebrationBolin Ford 50th Anniversary Mustang Show ‘n Shine Celebration

Our third 50th Mustang Anniversary Celebration this year was held at the Bolin Ford dealership in Bris-tow OK. Bristow began in 1898, when the St. Louis – San Francisco Railway ("Frisco") built a track be-tween Sapulpa and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The town was named for Joseph L. Bristow, a U.S. sena-tor from Kansas. Most of us met at the Big Lots parking lot Saturday morning and headed to Bristow at 0800. It was a gorgeous leisurely drive down old Route 66. On the way we picked up a couple of other riders and met the others at the dealership. We had a total of 15 cars representing GCCM with three others. The dealership is in an awesome historic building… the oldest sections of the building were built in 1923. Wood and tin ceilings, skylights and an “ancient” working overhead conveyor system where crated vehicles were uncrated and the final touches were added. The tour of the building was enter-taining. The weather was great… not too hot and too windy. Our hosts had cookies, apples, hotdogs and soda for refreshments. We also had two sheet cakes to celebrate the First Lady’s birthday. Good eaten’! The dealership staff and visitors voted for the top three Mustangs. The winners were Donnie Moseby (50th Anniversary book), Corky Bradford (50th Anniversary Tin) and Melvin Little (The 50th Anniversary banner). I can say for everyone we had a great time. Our thanks to Emerson Wisotsky, his mother Kathy, Mela-nie Killian, Mike Hendricks and the rest of the staff!! We are looking forward to planning annual Show ‘n Shines with Bolin Ford. Enjoy the pictures on the next two pages. -John Hemby
