Note tabs on side: 10 different risk signs on top and 8 different precautions signs
Signs use International icons
Some common items on each
This sign not to be removed except by Environmental Services staff only.
A new category for C. diff and others (Norovirus, etc): Emphasizes use of soap and water instead of alcohol based hand rub.
Room cleaning by bleach products to eliminate spores.
A couple doubles for when 2 levels are necessary
Reverse Precautions
Need to screen visitors (and staff) for infections
Protect the patient with no flowers, fruit, etc.
Anything from cleaning process (Sanosil) to Maintenance
Door will probably be closed
Things to remember:With rare exception, dont take down the precautions signsBe ready to talk to EVS and others about why patient is on precautionsMake sure sign matches EHR entry for Clinical Data
Refer inquiries of photos to cards at Nursing StationReverse of photos and diet restrictions specially treated for use of dry erase markers
