My 3 other lives:

Don’t overthink this…

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” -- Eleanor Roosevelt

Every individual on this planet has but one life to live. Although we may accomplish a lot in this life, we cannot escape the reality of only having one. This has forced us to make some decision about who we are and what we do.

Imagine for a moment that you had the chance to experience additional lives. If you had 3 other lives to lead, what would you do in each of them? You could be anything; you could be a pilot, a cowhand, a physicist, a psychic or a monk! You might be a scuba diver, a copy, a writer of children’s books, a football player, a belly dancer, a painter, a performance artist, a history teacher, a healer, a coach, a scientist, a doctor, a fisherman, a minister, an auto mechanic, a carpenter, a sculptor, a lawyer, a country singer...

You could be anything!

Declutter "The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary

so that the necessary may speak." - Hans Hofmann.

Clutter comes in many forms….• How many types of clutter can we list?

Declutter

"Stop all of the dings and buzzes and trembles and all of the alerts that cause you to think -- even for a nanosecond -- that you just got an email.”

Feedforward - think “speed dating” 1. Pick one behavior that you would like to change. Change in this

behavior will make a significant, positive difference in your life.2. Describe this behavior to randomly selected fellow participants; one-

on-one. 3. Ask for feedforward — for TWO suggestions for the future that might

help you achieve a positive change in your selected behavior. No feedback about the past is allowed.

4. Listen attentively to the suggestions and take notes on your card. Do not comment on the suggestions in any way, no critiques of the suggestions, or even to make positive judgmental statements, such as, “That’s a good idea.”

5. Say only “Thank you” to the other participants for their suggestions.6. Ask the other persons what they would like to change.7. Provide feedforward — two suggestions aimed at helping the other

person change.8. Say, “You are welcome” when thanked for the suggestions. The

entire process of both giving and receiving feedforward usually takes about two minutes.

9. Find another participant and keep repeating the process until the facilitator stops the exercise.

10. Any questions
