We’re now known as Royal London in all that we do

For many years, Scottish Life was part of Royal London. Scottish Life has now changed its name and rebranded to Royal London. The same is happening this year with other UK life, pensions and investment names in the Royal London Group.

Uniting under a single brand makes sense. Royal London is the UK’s largest mutual life and pensions company, and as a customer-owned organisation, we want to highlight the benefits mutuality brings, as well as promoting Royal London as the main brand.

It also ensures we can communicate with a single voice and really make that voice heard in all areas we operate.

A NAME TO CELEBRATE

For many people, Royal London isn’t a name that immediately rings a bell. But we’ve actually been around for over 150 years.

Royal London owns many brands, as you can see in the diagram below.

By rebranding Scottish Life and other parts of our group as just Royal London, and by giving all our communications a whole new look, we can become much better known.

ABOUT OURNEW LOOK

As well as using the Royal London name, we have adopted the Royal London pelican logo (known as Gilbert to his friends). We also have a new style across our communications.

In particular you’ll see that we use new purple colouring, as well as some distinctively quirky images. It’s to emphasise that Royal London is not afraid to be different, and to underline our old-fashioned values.

Our customers really are individuals, and we positively celebrate it. We are, after all, owned by all of our individual customers.

As a mutual, helping people to help themselves is always at the heart of what we do. We believe there’s strength in everyone and our new communications reflect that.

NO NEEDTO WORRY

To sum things up, our name and appearance may have changed, but our pensions and the service we provide won’t. In fact we intend what we do to be better than ever.
