The College Cricket (Boys) team participated in the Intercollegiate Cricket Tournament held at Jain College on 22nd & 23rd Jan 2018 and secured first prize. VI Sem BBA/B.Com/ BCA Global Students, 62 in number went for an International Educational trip to Germany, France, Belgium & Netherland along with KasturiNagar students accompanied by Principals of both the Institutions along with Staff members on 25th & 31st Jan 2018. Vignesh Raj of II Sem B.Com secured Bronze medal in KAI Cadet Junior under 21 National Karate Championship held between 31st Jan to 2nd Feb 2018 at Talkatora Indoor stadium, New Delhi.

Interclass Football Tournament was held for NHCM students from 5th to 7th Feb 2018. VI Sem B.Com won first prize & II Sem B.Com won second prize. Annual Sports Day was conducted in our College Sports Ground on 10th Feb 2018. Chief Guest was Mr. Manas Kumar Mahapatra . The major sports events were relay race, 200/400/800/1500 meters sprint for boys and girls. Besides these, the thrilling event of the day was the kabaddi match of IV Sem vs. VI Sem students in which the VI Sem students won by 7 points. The overall champions of the day -Boys- Tejas, IV Sem B.Com and Girls -Vijayalakshmi of IV Sem BCA.

Our College American Football- (Rugby) Boys team participated in the Inter collegiate Tournament held on14th Feb 2018 at Central College Ground, Banglaore University. Ms.Benila Susan Jacob Asst Professor & Ms.Ashalatha Asst Professor attended one day faculty orientation program "Business Taxation and Finance” elective subjects of 6th Sem B.Com of Bangalore University, held at Devasangha Group of Institutions on 16th Feb 2018 . Guest Lecture was organized on the topic "Project Development Using PHP" by Mr.Dipta Roy- Operations Executive, Infosys on 17th Feb 2018. Introduced the students to input on developing web based application using PHP, Notepad++ editor, Components required for connection, methods and actions of PHP, website creation and Mobile application in PHP for VI Sem BCA Students.

17th Feb 2018 Tarang 2018 was held on 17th Feb 2018.Events conducted- Best Manager, Conference, Cooking without fire, Creative writing, Imagination Factory, Just a minute, Photography, Shark Tank, Tarana, Quick Feet, Spot Light, The Big Picture, B-Dumb, Photoshop and subtitle. The College Cricket (Boys) team participated in the Intercollegiate Cricket Tournament held at AIMS College on 21st & 22nd Feb 2018 and secured first prize.

Greeshma Francis- HOD- B.Com attended a Seminar on "Revision and strengthening of B.Com / BBA: Curriculum" held at Senate Hall, Central College Campus, Bangalore University on 22nd Feb 2018.

Vivek V student of VI Sem BBA secured first place in ECHO 2018 a National level Drumming Contest at Orion Mall, Rajajinagar organized on 25th Feb 2018 by Universal Music India. A two day Faculty Development Programme was organized on 27th & 28th Feb for the faculty members. sessions included topics like “Impact of Pygmalion phenomenon in college teaching and teaching skill in the digital era”. The various sessions were facilitated by Dr.Rajdeep K Manwani- Co-ordinator in the department of Commerce at Jain University and Dr.Vijayshree-Professor & HOD- MBA department at BNMIT Bangalore. Power lifting championship held at K R Puram Govt. College, Bangalore on 28th Feb 2018 He won the silver medal in 66Kg category Bhargav Shankar of IV Sem BCA was a part of the TEDxNHCE an independently organized TED event held on 2nd March 2018 working as a Technical Co-Advisor. Mr. Abhimanyu Kumar S- Assistant Professor Presented a paper titled "The Role of language in Translation studies: in the International Conference on the Cultural Semiotics of English Language and Literature,on 2nd & 3rd March 2018 held at Dharmamurthi Rao Bahadur Calavala Cunnan Chetty's Hindu College, Chennai. Ms. Jissa Varghese – Asst. Professor participated in two day International Conference on “Paradigm Shift in Global Business Practices" held at

Kristu Jayanthi College, Bangalore on 6th & 7th March 2018. International Women’s Day was celebrated in Chanakya Seminar hall on 8th March 2018. A talk was organized by the Women Empowerment Cell of the college on the topic ‘Press for Progress’. The speaker of the day was Dr Uma Warrier, Professor of Organization Behavior and Human Resource, CMS Business School, Jain University. Ms.Amudhasarala - Asst.Professor participated in the International Conference held at St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore on 8th & 9th March 2018 on the topic scope of "Emerging Business Dimensions and Sustainable Development', and presented a paper titled “A Study on Electronic Customer Relationship Management in Banking Sector"

Ms. B Ashalatha - Asst. Professor participated in the International Conference on 8th & 9th March 2018 on Scope of "Emerging Business Dimensions and Sustainable Development', and presented a paper titled " Machine Intelligence Powered Banking in India” Ms. Lincy Joykutty- Asst .Professor participated in the International Conference on 8th & 9th March 2018 on Scope of "Emerging Business Dimensions and Sustainable Development', and presented a paper titled " A Study on Women's Economic Empowerment at Educational Institutions in Bangalore” held at St. Josephs College, Bangalore. & 11th March 2018 and won First place. A guest lecture was organized on the topic "Recent Trends in Marketing- Digitalization", presented by Ms.Hima Bindu Jonnalagadda- Crossover Leadership Trainer on 17th March 2018 . A guest lecture was organized on 19th March 2018 on the topic "Selenium-Software Testing Automation Tool", presented by Mr.R.Anbunathan, Software Project Manager, and AMIE. Major concepts discussed were Software Testing, Principles of Software Testing, Types of Software Testing, Advantages and Disadvantages, etc. NHCM celebrated the birth anniversary of Shri.Hemu Kalani on 23rd March 2018. The importance of the day was enhanced by Blood donation camp organized by the Leo Club

and NSS unit of the College wherein 78 units was donated. Industrial Visit to Dairy Day was organized on 23rd March for II Sem B.Com Professional and IV Sem B.Com Executive students. Students participated in the intercollegiate fest APOGEE 2K18 on 23rd March 2018, held at Dayananda Sagar College. Golleshwara N Pattar of II Sem B.Com won Second Prize in Tattoo making. Guest Lecture was organized on 24th March 2018 for II B.Com Students on the topic "Recent Trends in Banking Operations in Digital Era", presented by Ms.Hema N- HOD- Dept. of English, Surana College. Collegiate Football Tournament on 4th April 2018, organized by NHCE (AZURA) and won First Prize. As part of curriculum and outreach activity, II Sem BBA & II Sem BCA students accompanied by Mr.Srirama M Assistant Professor were taken out for a visit to Janapada Loka or Folk world on 5th April 2018. It is a folk museum that has an exclusive display of the vilage folk arts of Karnataka. The VI Semester students of B.Com went on a Tour to Goa between 8th to 10th April 2018 along with Faculty member, Ms.Divyashree-Asst.Prof, and Mr.Ravi Kumar Patil -Librarian. Students of IV semester B.Com put together a brilliant act, staging the play ‘Where there is a Will’, by Mahesh Dattani. The play was enacted in Chanakya Seminar Hall on 17th April 2018.

Principal and faculty members were in for a pleasant surprise, when they saw the 40 min play, scripted and acted by the students, delivering their dialogues flawlessly and emoting to perfection. Mr. Rajesh H- Sr. Assistant Professor Participated at the National Conference held at Sindhi College,Bangalore on 13th April 2018."Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Start-Ups for Economic Transformation-Trends, Opportunities and Challenges", was the theme of the conference. He presented a paper titled "Delineating the role of HR Technology - An Insight from Star Performer", and won the best paper award for the mentioned title. Industrial Visit to Cycle Pure Agarbathis, Channapatna was organized on 16th April 2018 for IV Sem BBA - A& B Sec. students.

Third one day National Conference titled "TRENDS-Transcending the Realms to Enrich the Nation's Developmental Strategies", presented by IQAC was organised on 28th April 2018. Chief Guest and Key note speaker for the inaugural session was Mr.Vivek John Monteiro - Product Manager, Digital Core Banking Solutions SAP Labs. Technical Session speaker was Dr.Bhavani Akkapeddi - Doctorate in Economics, Symbiosis Institute-Hyderabad. The paper presentations session witnessed 80 presentations out of which 45 papers were shortlisted, out of which 14 papers were presented by NHC-M across 3 track rooms. Vignesh Raj of II Sem B.Com participated in the 17th AKF Cadet, Junior & U-21 Karate Championships, Okinawa, Japan between 11th to 13th May 2018.
