Family Night Family night is Saturday evening September 3rd. Games start at 5:00, hotdogs at 6:00 and the featured movie God’s Not Dead 2 at 7:00. Sure to be fun evening for the whole family. Make plans to come enjoy the fun!

Our Mission…

to make Christ-like disciples. Jesus said in Matthew 22 the greatest command is; Love the

Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and

with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest command-

ment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as your-

self. From this command of Jesus New Horizon has six guid-

ing principles.

Because of our love for God...

Holiness—It is God’s will for his people to be holy. New

Horizon is committed to the demonstration, the preaching,

and the teaching of Holiness. The power of the Holy Spirit

lived out in pure love.

Authentic Worship—God is worthy of all our worship.

When New Horizon comes together our worship is a

genuine search for the heart of God and an expression of

our love for Him.

Because of our love for our neighbor

Safety—God’s house is to be a place of love. One where

we can “confess our sins to one another” and let our bur-

dens be lifted by each other. A place of Christ-like com-

munity.

Service—All Christians are called to serve not to be

served. The church endeavors to provide opportunities for

its people to share Christ with each other, and with our

community.

Unity of Heart and Mission—Jesus prayed for His disci-

ples to be one… one with Christ and one with each other.

New Horizon is dedicated to this mission.

Discipleship and Evangelistic in nature—Because we love

our neighbor, we want everyone to know Jesus in all His

fullness.

Promotion Sunday and Teacher Appreciation Day

Sunday August 28th at 10:00 am everyone will

gather in the sanctuary for 10 minutes prior to Sun-

day School. Kids will be advancing to the next

class, and we can recognize our great teachers. Fol-

lowing the morning service there will be a covered

dish fellowship to celebrate Sunday School. Sign-

up sheet in the foyer.

NazSafe Renewal August 21st during Sunday School (10:00) will be our NazSafe

Renewal class. If its been more than two years since you have

attended a NazSafe training please attend this class.
