Earl Foss is now the Wreaths Across America project
coordinator. Please make sure every squadron has a squadron
leader signed up with WAA. Contact Earl if you have any
questions. We will need to jump on selling the wreaths early
because I hear the schools in southern NH are also going to be
selling the wreaths.
*** Remember we will be donating all the WAA proceeds to a
fund that has been set up for Capt Wendy Wallace (NH Wing
Finance Officer) who has suffered a very debilitating illness and
several amputations. As you can imagine the family is facing a

June TRAINEX –
I want to thank all those that attended the exercise on Jun 4th. We were especially happy to seethe cadet attendance. Some of the things we need to work on are mountain flying and ALL facets of
communications. We could not complete our aerial photography tasking from the NH National Guard because we
only had 1 photographer. Our focus the next few months will be on aerial photography training and mountain
flying certification. We will be seeking 5-6 members that want to dedicate the time to getting checked out.
2011 Boston Portsmouth Airshow. Please sign up to work the Aug 13-14 airshow. Your time puts money into your
cadet programs. This is a quick and easy way to fund your squadron and you get to see a $25 air show for free.
Remember nonmember parents, brothers and sisters over 15 can volunteer to serve as well as friends that you can
vouch for.
We still need 9 members to serve as ramp directors for both days of the show (e-mail or call me if interested).
Cadets - Remember to get your NCOA and Encampment applications in.
Pilots – we have training $ - get proficient and we have Cadet O flight $ - get those first cadet flights flown.

FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL
++++ NATIONAL CALL-IN ++++
General Courter has asked all CAP members to participate in a National request for co-sponsors for the
two bills than concern the awarding of the medal. We have been requested to CALL our senators and
representative on June 29 and 30 to request that they sign on as a co-sponsor. See Washington phone
numbers below. It is suggested that you prepare an outline prior to your calling and if the legislator isnot available, ask to speak with whoever handles veterans or defense legislation. Get the name and
phone number of who you spoke with and watch for names of those signed on as a co-sponsor by going
to:http://capmembers.com/cap_national_hq/cap_congressional_gold_medal.cfm . Call the person you
spoke to before if you do not see our senators or representatives names on the list. Without the required
number of co-sponsors these bills will not move forward. The state of Maine has already signed on. It
is imperative that we get sponsors now as our WWII members are fast disappearing from the ranks.
