OVERVIEW

The Facebook Connect Magento Extension allows user to login and connect to your store by simply logging into their Facebook account. You can configure the Facebook Link Extension Module with the Facebook account of a customer so that if he/she login’s into their Facebook account and make a purchase



FeaturesApart from allowing the user to login from their Facebook account, Magneto Facebook Connect has more features which are listed below:

Features for Website Visitors:

• Like Button: The Like button helps the visitor to share your content with their friends on Facebook. When the user clicks on the Like button a story appears in the user’s friends News Feed with a link back to your website.• Comment Box: Along with Like button, Comment box can also be displayed which allows the user to comment on content on your site using their Facebook profile and shows this activity to their friends in news feed.

Installation Steps1. Clear the store cache under var/cache and all cookies for your store domain.

2. Disable compilation for Magento 1.4+. Log into Magento Admin Panel and go to System → Tools → Compilation and disable the compilation.

Be sure that the Compilation Сode is disabled (System->Tools --

>Compilation)



Installation Steps3. Disable JS & CSS merging

Navigate to System->Configuration->Developer Tab and disable "Merge

css / js". We suggest that you enable error reporting.



Installation Steps4. Upload file manually

If you use a different from default theme - be sure to rename app/design/frontend/default/default and skin/frontend/default/default folders to your store's values. Using your FTP client upload content to your store root.

Then navigate to System->Cache Storage Management and and clear

Cache.

Do select and Refresh it by pressing submit button

6. Log out then log back in to your admin panel.

• After install the extension is successfully installed, admin can click on “System” →

“Configuration”.

• Under “Customer ” section choose “Customer Configuration”.

• Click on Facebook Connect tab.

• Then user can show the configuration screen.

• Admin user can enable or disable this extension by yes/no option.

• Enter the facebook application Api key.

• Enter Application Secret

• Choose the language locale option from drop down.

• Admin user can set the unique id of the site.

• Set Reverse Ordering by Yes/No.

• Set the Number of comments to show.

• Set the width of comment box.

• Set Public feed story by yes/No.

• Set the Rounded Form by choose yes/No.



Configuration Frontend ViewOn front end user can login through Facebook login.



Configuration When user click on facebook button then facebook login window open then user can login through facebook.



Configuration Display Face book Like Button/comment box on product page.



UninstallTo force Magento uninstall the module. Then replace <active>true</active> with <active>false</active> in the following files:

app/etc/modules/Brainvire_Facebook.xml <Brainvire_Facebook> <active>true</active> <codePool>community</codePool> </Brainvire_Facebook>
