FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
I had such a great time during the school swimming program last week. The weather was great and it was fantastic to see everyone give it their best and learn new skills. While we were enjoying the water and sun, our thoughts were definitely with the families, firefighters and volunteers battling the fires.
A huge thank you to Mrs Kane for the planning and organisation of the swimming week and to all teachers for providing the students with the swimming opportunity. So much work goes into these whole school events and the timing of activities was perfect. Thank you.
FENCING UPDATE
Apologies for the delay with the upgrade to the fencing. The contractor experienced some setbacks with the delivery of the panels. Thank you to all families for your patience during this time.
ONLINE GUARDIANS INFO EVENING
Unfortunately due to the lack of interest the Online Guardians Parent Information evening will not be going ahead.
STUDENT BEHAVIOUR
The end of term reward day is scheduled for the last week of term and this is to recognise those students who have continually made positive choices throughout the year. In the hope that all students are able to attend this day, all staff will continue to have high expectations of student behaviour for the remainder of the term. Students have been spoken to in relation to their behaviour choices and that consequences for negative choices will still apply. It would be appreciated if parents and carers would also discuss school behaviour with their child/ren to reinforce what we are doing at school. Thank you.
CAPTAIN SPEECHES 2020
Captain Speeches will be held on Friday 6 December. Please note this assembly will commence at 2pm.
PRINCIPAL 2020
Mr Davis is due to return to Crystal Creek PS in 2020, however, there is a possibility that he may be required to continue in his higher duty position for another year. If this is the case,
Mrs Lynette Kane will relieve as Principal for the first few weeks of Term 1 while an “Expression of Interest” for relieving Principal is advertised to fill the position for 2020.

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION
Our 2020 kindergarten students Lewis, Ronan, Mitchell, Belle and Madeline attended their last Orientation Day on the 6th November. The students along with their buddies and new friends joined in lots of activities in and out of the classroom with Mr Hartmann. There was singing with Mrs Oakes in the library and they even had a Teddy Bears picnic at lunchtime joined by their buddies.
