Introduction

Introduction, as I construed them to be, should start at the beginning. The start of a story, the start of a jour-ney, an explanatory section of a book, speech, report and whatnot. This

book contain photographs, that cor-responds with the life that are mostly witnessed in the wee hours in Malay-sia. It is only up to your imagination to sink into the moment captured.

Nightly

Tunes

A bunch of talented buskers perform-ing indie genre songs to entertain the passerbys with good ear-soothing mu-sic. A great way to eliminate the noisy engines coming from vehicles on the road with something that is much more

worthy to be attracted to.

“I think music in itself ishealing. It’s an explosiveexpression of humanity. It’s something we are all

touched by. No matter whatculture we are from,

everyone loves music. ”

- BILLY JOEL

Hard-working construction work-ers struggling to live a life to sustain their family. They work mostly during the night when the traffic dies down, & most people are tucked in bed. But nontheless, the workers still manage to plaster a smile on their face despite

The Art of Artists would find a spot along the streets of Kuala Lumpur to display their artwork that is up for sale, and also to resume drawing portraits of peo-ple. These gifted artists

Colourseffortlessly complete a number of artworks, some with the purpose to make ends meet, and some for their own contentment.

“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their

inward significance.”-ARISTOTLE

“Your life changes. Everything has to be done perfectly, and I didn’t follow that. I lived my life as if i wasn’t in the public eye. I thought, “I’m young. I have the right to ex-

perience new things, and if I wantto go to a bar and get

drunk, that’s my perogative.”- SHANNEN DOHERTY

The author would like to acknowledge:

Rhiannon Oh, whose presence was a gift to me and to many. I am eternally grateful for the short lessons you gave in order for me to understand how Adobe InDesign works. I undoubtedly appreciate your generosity and friendship.

Hiren Siva, for protecting me in the streets of Chang-kat. Eternally grateful to have you by my side while I was taking photographs those past few nights. Also, thank you for being tall. You saved me. You know why.

Choo, for saving me from countless disasters while designing this book and for being awesome.

Vivien Teo and Devin Wong, for driving me to Chang-kat. Thank you for not needing my money for toll pur-poses. Because of you both, the world suck a little less.
