NEW CLOSED ROAD RUNNING EVENT ON SUNDAY 18 TH NOVEMBER 2018 ROAD CLOSURES WILL AFFECT YOUR AREA The route and road closure timings overleaf have been carefully considered and selected through a partnership with the local authority, emergency services and Transport for London to minimise the inconveniences of the necessary road closures. Emergency services will be operating as usual so please follow normal procedures in the case of an emergency. Pedestrian access will be unaffected across the event route, but there will be no vehicle or bicycle access on these roads during the road closure period. Bus diversions will also be in place for the event so do visit www.tfl.gov.uk to see if your public transport journey by bus is affected. This letter includes details (on the map overleaf) of the exact road closure and reopening times as well as key local egress routes that will be available after the last runner exits each sector. We hope this will enable movement on the morning of the event if leaving your property from a road affected by the closures. Event stewards will be in place across the route during all closure times to assist you should you need. Listed below are the roads used by the run route with their specific closure and reopening times. Where roads are listed multiple times, please refer to the map overleaf which highlights where and at what time that road is expected to be closed. A full list of every road affected by the closures can be found on our website (www.adidascityruns.com/fulham). Whilst these closure times have been established to assist your planning on the day, we will endeavour to open all roads as early as possible, with our clear up teams following the final runner to remove all event infrastructure and cleanse the route promptly. Sector 1 - Closure time 07:00-10:45: Barclay Rd, Effie Rd, Harwood Rd, New Kings Rd (between Wandsworth Bridge Rd & Harwood Rd) Sector 2 - Closure time 08:00-11:45: Munster Rd, Dawes Rd, North End Rd (between Dawes Rd and Walham Grove) Sector 3 - Closure time 08:00-12:15: Walham Grove, Vanston Pl, Jerdan Pl, Fulham Rd, Fulham Broadway Sector 4 - Closure time 08:00-12:30: Fulham Rd, Munster Rd, Parsons Green Ln, Burlington Rd, Rigault Rd, Buer Rd, New Kings Rd Sector 5 - Closure time 06:00-14:00: New Kings Rd (between Parsons Green Ln and Wandsworth Bridge Rd) We are working with social carers, local services such as meals on wheels and community nurses to allow access during closure times where possible. If you have plans that you think may be impacted by the planned road closures which cannot be amended, such as travel arrangements, formal events or carer responsibilities we strongly recommend residents to please contact us prior to the event and we will assist wherever possible. Advance warning signs for road closures will be erected 2 weeks before the event. Parking/loading will not be permitted on single yellow lines on roads on the run route. Some parking suspensions will be in place. Any vehicles parked illegally will be towed.
