Initiation Fee

• Tau Beta Pi charges a one time initiation fee of $100.00– This initiation fee goes towards National Dues, a

6” Bronze bent, food for meetings, member activities (socials, field day, initiation banquet, etc.)

Volunteer Opportunities

• Outreach Programs– CISCOR STEM Outreach

• Go to NIMS Middle School to promote science, mathematics, and engineering to students using Lego Mindstorms and other items

– The Massie Chair Program• Volunteer with HPMI to promote science, mathematics, and

engineering to students in Cairo through presentations

– The Brogan Outreach• Promote Engineering with Dr. Oates using smart materials

(Saturday Mornings)

Graduate Requirements

• Individual Volunteer Activity Replaced by fulfilling eligibility check:– Class Rank statement showing top 1/5 standing -or-

Letter of recommendation from the student’s primary advisor may be used. (Primary advisor’s signature meets this requirement).

– Letter from primary advisor stating student has completed at least half of course work including research.

– Completed Report of Eligibility (on website)
