The first meeting to include the new Directors was on September 21, 2015. The new members were interviewed individually by a Board committee prior to being recommended; Executive Director Dan Powers visited many times with them each over the prior 6 – 9 months as well. Each have attended Boulder Tomorrow membership events and inquired about Boulder Tomorrow policy advocacy efforts, demonstrating an alignment and insight to our mission. Each new Director brings a younger perspective to the notion of what Boulder’s business community can and should champion as attributes in shaping the evolution of the city. Tim O'Shea: Exploring the importance of networks for over twenty years, Tim O’Shea combines his professional technical acumen with a social savvy in service to connecting communities. His experience delivering apt technical solutions and forward looking guidance for a variety of established brands, businesses, startups and non-profit organizations took root at the dawn of the dot-com era. Working in the national sphere of public broadcasting enhanced his strengths as an advocate, communicator, and educator. Cultivating relationships throughout his network, Tim dedicates his professional and personal resources to developing successful individuals and organizations through connections and knowledge transfer. Founding Engage Colorado after a successful partnership running Boulder Startup Week 2013, Tim continues to recognize his goal of bringing communities together to unite around and share ideas across geographic and industry boundaries. Beth Hartman works at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) as Project Manager for the Clean Energy Incubator Network (www.incubatenergy.org), an initiative funded by the Department of Energy to strengthen connections between clean energy innovators around the country. The Boulder Tomorrow Board of Directors formally approved four new Board members at their August

10, 2015 Board meeting. The first meeting to include the new Directors was on September 21, 2015.

Tim O'Shea:

Senior Analyst at E Source, where her research focused on utility customer engagement and marketing

strategies, and before E Source she worked as Marketing Manager at Simple Energy. Beth has a master’s

degree from the University of Colorado and completed a year-long fellowship at the Silicon Flatirons

Center in the CU Law School, where she managed the CU New Venture Challenge, launched the

BoulderStartups.org website, and wrote reports on topics including smart grid, privacy, and

entrepreneurship.

Jaime Roth is an attorney and mediator at Boulder-based Roth Legal Solutions LLC, which provides legal

support and conflict resolution services to startups, other businesses, and non-profit organizations. She

brings to Boulder Tomorrow her prior extensive

experience as a public sector attorney, coupled

with her training and experience in facilitating the

resolution of high profile public conflicts. Jaime

holds a J.D. from the University of Miami and a

B.A. from Tufts University. Jaime relocated to

Boulder in 2014 from Brooklyn, New York, and is

committed to never moving again. She brings a

fresh perspective to the issues facing Boulder, and

looks forward to using her skills and experience in

support of Boulder Tomorrow's effort to ensure

fully informed decision making regarding Boulder's future.

Chelsea Castellano currently works in Facilities Management at the

University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) and National

Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), where her role is to integrate

environmental, economic, and social sustainability into all internal

operations. Chelsea’s current role, combined with her previous work in

energy efficiency, water conservation, waste diversion, and community-

based social marketing has reinforced her ability to recognize the complexity

and interconnectedness of the challenges our broader community faces

today, and then address those challenges with pragmatic, forward-thinking

solutions.
