Welcome to South Aiken Presbyterian Church! We are thankful
that you have been called to worship with us this morning. We
believe all people are children of God. We believe that the
redeeming grace of God can transform our lives by the power of
the Holy Spirit. We believe all people are loved with a love that has
no end in Jesus Christ. Today, may you encounter Jesus Christ
through Spirit-inspired worship including dynamic preaching,
specific prayers, and beautiful music. May the blessings of the
triune God give you joy and hope that can only come from God
with us. Let us worship God!
PLEASE NOTE: Please silence your phone dur ing the service. If needed, large print hymnals and sound
amplification devices are available in the Narthex. Please see an usher for assistance in obtaining these items.
NURSERY AND CHILDREN
Infants and toddlers are welcome in our nursery during both of our worship services and during our 10:00
a.m. Sunday school hour. The nursery is located on the north side of the SAPC building complex. To
find it, please exit the front (main) entrance to the sanctuary and turn left. You will see a sign for the
nursery at the door on the side of the next building.
Children are invited either to either remain in the sanctuary for the worship services or to go to the nursery
at their parents’ discretion. For those children who remain for the services, worship activity sheets may be
obtained from the ushers. In addition, worship activity bags are available and may be picked up near the
doors as you enter the sanctuary. Bags are available for both older children (ages 7-12 - blue handle) and
younger children (ages 3-6 - purple handle). During today’s 11:00 a.m. service, children ages 3 years
through 5K are welcome to participate in our Children’s Church program, which follows the Moment with
Children. Chaperones will escort the children from the sanctuary to the fellowship hall for the program.
You may pick your children up in the fellowship hall after the service. If you need assistance of any
kind, please see an usher.

*Call to Worship (Psalm 27)(Responsive)
One: The LORD is our light and our salvation – whom shall we fear? The LORD is the stronghold of our
life – of whom shall we be afraid?
All: One thing we ask from the LORD, this only do we seek: that we may dwell in the house of
the LORD all the days of our lives to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his
temple.

Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Gracious God, we confess that you call us, but we sometimes hear our own voice instead. We have

attune our minds, hearts and priorities as we choose to follow the Spirit’s leading. Strengthen us in
our minds and hearts to obey the Spirit and not shrink back through Jesus Christ, our Lord (in
silence confess personal sins…) Amen.

*Affirmation of Faith: The Apostles’ Creed (Traditional) (Unison)
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand
Of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting. Amen.

PICTURE PLEASE! GUESS WHAT SAPC? Can you believe it is 2020 and time to update our
Picture Directory? Pick out your “Sunday Best”, make plans to get “gussied
up”, and then get ready to SMILE!
The SAPC Membership and Communication Committees are EXCITED to
share with you that we have made arrangements with Lifetouch to redo our
directory! Did you know it was 2015, five long years ago, when the last
directory was published? It certainly is time for an update!
Thanks to technological advances, not only will SAPC member-participants receive a hardcopy directory,
they will also have access to a web-enabled application to access the directory online. Y ep! There’s an App
for that!!
Wait! There is MORE!!! Each participating SAPC member / family will also receive a free, professional 8” X
10” portrait, with the option (NOT the obligation) to purchase other pictures. And there aren’t any
“packages” you simply order what you want – cafeteria style!
As a special bonus, non-member extended families can also participate, and although they will not receive a
hardcopy Directory, they WILL receive a free 8” X 10” photo of their choice from their photo shoot! The
details are prayerfully being worked out and are, of course, subject to change, so please be on the lookout for
program changes and updates!
The photo sessions will be done in the SAPC Fellowship Hall
as follows:
Thursday, February 27th, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday, February 28th, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, February 29th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Appointments to get photos taken will be scheduled using
Lifetouch’s online scheduling system. Church members will
be able to create their own accounts and set their own
appointment times.
It only takes a few minutes to complete the scheduling process and both the SAPC Website and Facebook
page contain detailed information to guide you on the sign-up process.
For those that wish to use it, sign-up assistance is available from the church members listed here.
