This is how it works..



Open your browser


Type Gmail.com


Sign in with your Gmail Account


Enter your Gmail Account


Click Next


Enter your Password


Click Sign In


This is your Gmail Account


Click the Google Apps Icon


Click Calendar


This is your Calendar


You can keep track all your events

using Google Calendar


You can view your calendar..


By Day


By Week


By Month


By 4 Days


By Agenda


This is the Current Month Calendar


This is your Calendar


These are other people’s calendar


You can create additional calendars in your account


Click the arrow beside My Calendar


You can now view your calendar and events


Click the Dropdown Menu


Click Create New Calendar


Enter a Calendar Name


Enter Description


Enter your Location


Enter your Country and Time zone


Check the box if you want to make your calendar public


If your don’t want your calendar to be public..


But you want to share it to specific people..


You can add their email address


Select Permission Settings


Click Add Person


The Person is now added


Your friend can now view your schedule


Click Create Calendar


Your calendar is now added


A while ago, we shared our calendar to other people


You can also add and view other people’s calendar


Click Other Calendars


You can see here the list of calendars shared to you


To add other people’s calendar..


Click the Dropdown Menu


Click Add a Friend’s Calendar


Enter your friend’s calendar


Click AddNote: I used my other account for sample only


Type a message to request access to their calendar


Click Send Request


When your friend grants your access request


You can view their calendar under Others Calendars

Creating an Event



There are 2 ways to create an event


Click Create


Enter Event Title


Click to Set Start Date


Click to Set Start Time


Click to Set End Time


Click to Set End Date


Tick the box if this is an All-day Event


Tick the box if this is a Recurring Event


For recurring event, additional set up is required


Customize the occurrence of your event


Enter the event location


Select Calendar you want the event to appear


Enter Description of Event


Enter Attendee’s Email address


Click Add


You can now view the list of attendees


Set Up the Permission Settings


Prior to the event, you can also attach documents


Like agenda, schedules and other related documents to

the Event Invite


Click the Add Attachments


You can upload file by Google Drive


Or by manually upload the files


Click Upload


Your document is now attached


Next, Select Event Color


Set Up how you want to be notified


Next, Set up your availably


Set up the event’s visibility


Save your Event


Click Send to send Event Invite


The Event is now saved in your calendar


The 2nd way to Create an Event


is to click the date and time in your calendar


For example, we will create an event on Jul 4 1pm-2pm


Click the space under Jul 4 and locate the time


Click the area


Enter Event


Select Calendar


Click Create


The event is now in your calendar


To edit the event details like in Option 1..


Click the event


Repeat Steps in Option 1

Sync Your Calendar to your Phone or Tablet


Install Google Calendar through..



Playstore for Android users


AppStore for Apple Users

Open Playstore


Type Google Calendar


Select Google Calendar


Install Google Calendar


Tap Accept


Google Calendar is now installed


Open Calendar


Select Enable Sync

In Google Calendar Mobile


You can view all your Gmail account calendars


Embed Google Calendar to your Website



Show your calendars


Select the Calendar you want to embed


Click Calendar Settings


Go to Share this Calendar


Tock the box beside Make this Calendar Public


Save the Settings


Select Yes


Go to Calendar Details


Customize your Calendar


You are now redirected to Google Embeddable Calendar Helper


Change Width to 299.This is the width of WordPress Sidebar


You can change the height to whatever number you desire


This is the preview of your calendar


Uncheck the portion you don't want to show in your calendar


Once your finished, copy the HTML code

Open your WordPressDashboard



Under Appearance, Select Widgets


In your widgets manager, select Text


Click Add Widget


Enter Calendar Title


Paste the HTML Code to the content Area


Click Save

Go to your Homepage



Your Calendar is now in the sidebar of your website
