This song came about in the midst of preparing for HCJC’s Musical Soiree 2000. I was totally new to the world of guitar playing then, having learnt only a few chords from Dest before my attempt to write a song. Out of these few chords... and the “chinese” progression that he taught, came this song. Originally intendedto be “performed” at my year’s prom night, it fell through. Nevertheless continued to work on the song and came out with the second set of verses in early 2003. I dedicate this song to the class of 99S31 first and fore-most - can’t ask for more! And to the rest of the Hwa Chongians whose hearts have been tugged at by the lyrics and melody - hope that this song speaks the words of your heart! God bless! - Galvin
