Lets bring our brain from
the non-seen area to the
seen area in the
of Neuro-optometry
TRAIN YOUR BRAIN
Neuro-Optometry is a specialty field of vision
care that combines neurology and optome-
try to assess how the brain processes visual
information sent from the eyes. Vision prob-
lems usually occur when the communication
between your brain and the eye are disrupt-
ed due to injury or diseases.
Every year about 1.5 to 2 million people sus-
tain traumatic brain injuries in India. Most of
them need visual care due to issues with
eye teaming, tracking,, visual field loss, dou-
ble vision, focusing issues and visual per-
ceptual dysfunction.
NEURO-OPTOMETRY!!! WHY NEURO-OPTOMETRY?
Neuro-Optometry is the upcoming field in
the world of Optometry in which we, the
Neuro-Optometrists can help individuals to
solve the vision problems due to brain inju-
ries. Neuro optometrist works hand in hand
with other specialists such as neuro oph-
thalmologist, neurologist, occupational ther-
apist , physiotherapist, speech therapist,
psychologist and other rehabilitation profes-
sionals to maximize the patient’s outcome
and to improve our patient’s quality of life.
So lets join our hands together to improve
the quality of life of this neurologically chal-
lenged population.
This COE, on Neuro Optometry aims to cover
the basic & practical aspects of Neuro Op-
tometric evaluation and relevant manage-
ment paradigms
